y/n pov

'y/n.. wake up' I heard someone whisper, but it seemed far away as if it was in a dream.

     'y/n'

This time the voice wasn't a whisper anymore, but it was very loud. I recognized the voice of Jin. Before I even had the chance to open my eyes there was a deep sigh

'Joon, your sister won't wake up' his voice was in a nagging tone.

I opened my eyes 'I am awake, okay'

Jin smiled at me 'hello sunshine'

Even though I woke up on the cold floor in a random room, I couldn't help but smile back.

Jin was like a second brother to me, he had known my brother Namjoon since forever so that meant he had known me forever. He was probably the funniest person I knew, and he was viciously handsome as well. Not that he ever doubted that himself but still. My friends would always try to get me to get his number for them, or to bring him to a party or something.

Namjoon stood next to Jin 'come on sis, get yourself ready. We are leaving in 15 minutes'

I groaned, ever since we were on the move there was no time for an easy morning. Those days that I woke up around noon because I had been scrolling through social media till late at night or watching another kdrama episode till early morning seemed from a different life.

I guess it was a different life, in a different world.

I quickly got up and moved to the bathroom of the house. We had arrived yesterday and as a standard procedure we always first inspect every room to be sure it was all clear and we could safely spend the night there.

I reached inside my backpack for a "clean" set of clothing. Meaning the ones I didn't sleep in.

In total, I carried three pairs of trousers and four shirts with me. They were from a convenience store that we passed at the start of our journey. All my belongings were gone.

Whenever we were near a river, we would take a moment to clean our clothes, but we also quickly accepted the smell and dirtiness of each other.

It was the least of our problems anyway.

After changing clothes, I reached into the front pocket of the bag and took out my little paper. It was full of tally marks, which represented the days that had passed. I took out a little pencil and scrambled another tally on it.

It was day 67

Day 67 since the others came to earth and invaded our world.

Day 67 since our lives changed completely

I folded the paper again and took a deep breath. I guess it was a way for me to calm myself down.

I left the bathroom and walked downstairs. When I walked into the living room, I bumped into someone.

     'sorry' I said apologetically

      'hey'

My heart skipped a beat as I knew who that voice belonged to

Yoongi

Before the others came, he was simply my brother's friend on whom I might have had a huge crush.

Now, however, he was the leader of our little group.

Our group consisted of 10 people, and I happened to be the only girl. It consisted of my brother's friend group and Hoseok's little brother's Hueningkai's group. I knew them from college as we were all freshmen, but I never really interacted actively with them.

When it all happened, on the first day. Namjoon, Yoongi, Jin, and Hoseok were all at Hoseok's place as well as Hueningkai and his friends. I, on the other hand, was at my best friend's place.

Yoongi had changed, I guess we all did, but he became so cold and distant, and he was always serious. In a way, I couldn't blame him. We all had lost so many loved ones, and danger was always lurking around.

For the first thirty days, we hid in Seokjin's parents' basement. They were kind of doomsday preppers and for once they got the last word. Not that they were home themselves, they were in Busan for a weekend away.

'y/n are you just going to stand there the whole day and block my way?' Yoongi asked without any emotion.

'sorry?' I asked confused but simultaneously making room for him to pass and without another word he did.

I had to admit that it still stung, the way he treated me. Before the first day he would make me smile, he showed interest and he was caring. He had always been a bit darker and mysterious but I knew he had a soft side. However, that part was now hard to find.

Hoseok appeared as well in front of me and he gave me a sad smile 'Don't take it too personally y/n, he is under a lot of pressure. '

I swallowed and then nodded 'I know. It's okay'

As Hoseok passed he laid a hand on my shoulder as an extra show of support.

Jin and Namjoon walked down the stairs and Namjoon handed me a piece of a dry cookie.

     'Here, eat this'

I stared at it and a lump formed in my throat. I knew we were short on supplies and Namjoon gave me the biggest part every time that we shared food. I was grateful for it but on the other hand, he was my brother and he was taller and he was especially buffed, I knew he needed the food more than I did.

In the beginning, I would fight him on it but it never ended in him agreeing. It always turned into an argument which I knew we both hated.

'Thank you' I said with sad eyes, and he gave me a reassuring nod.

The hallway now also filled up with Hueningkai and his friends who all seemed a little bit exhausted at this point.

I couldn't blame them though as I was feeling the same. It was hard to stay hopeful and energetic in these kind of times. We were lucky to have each other, I was very much aware of that fact, but next to that we didn't have much left anymore.

'Let's go!' Yoongi shouted from the front door of the house.
