21 - Hunting a Human

I had a small head start but it wasn't too much. I ran back to the woods as the trees would provide some sort of shelter.

At some point I saw a house in the distance but my eyes fell on a huge ass tree next to it. It was really gigantic and even better was how this tree was luckily still very much covered with leaves, as autumn was approaching I could already see that some of the trees were losing their leaves which was very bad news for me as it would completely blow my cover.

I looked back but it seemed the others were not in close proximity yet and that gave me the opportunity to climb into the tree in time. 

I sat pretty high up in the tree and waited. My expectation was that they would check the house and therefore their focus would be even less on this particular tree.

The others were close and similar to the one time that Taehyung's group was so near I held my breath and made no sound whatsoever.

I could hear their language and it was obvious that some of them entered the house.

I wished I could understand what they were saying, maybe I could figure out where they were going and I'd go exactly the opposite direction. At some point the others left the house again and the sound of their voices faded. I still waited for probably an extra hour just to be sure they weren't around anymore.

I climbed down and I ran into the house. I decided to hide myself in the bathroom. The chances of them going back into this house for a second time were very slim yet I was so terrified that I preferred a room with a lock.

 I sat down in the bathtub, I guess it would be my place to sleep in tonight. I stared ahead and a sudden anxiety and sadness came over me.

I didn't have anyone at the moment,

No Yoongi and Hoseok,

No Taehyung and Zhora,

No Namjoon and Jin.

It was just me and the gang of others that wanted to kill me. 

Yoongi pov

     'See? I can walk just fine' I explained to Hoseok while demonstrating it. Hoseok looked doubtful 'it hasn't been long since you were cut.'

       'I have to find her' I answered

       'I know you want to, I get it, but can you not wait till you are really back to your own strength?' he pleaded

I shook my head 'no you don't get it!' it came out more harshly than I wanted but I needed him to understand. It was obvious it hurt him 'I am sorry but the past few days I couldn't stop thinking about y/n and the danger she might be in. I need to know she is safe. I need her to be safe'

     'I can't leave my brother' Hoseok said, I knew he wanted to come with me but I also understood his feeling and responsibility towards his little brother.

      'I know, and I am not asking you to'

Hoseok looked down, obviously defeated and I knew how hard this was on him. I stepped closer to him and put my hand on his shoulder

       'I am sorry, you are my best friend but I need to find her. We can meet at Jeju alright?'

Hoseok gave me a hug 'Yes I will see you there' 

Hoseok pov

Yoongi just left and to say I was upset was an understatement. I already lost Jin and Namjoon and seeing my friend going all by himself was hard to accept. Especially as he still wasn't 100% recovered. But I needed to remind myself I am a big brother and I can't leave my family.

Hueningkai sat next to me ad took a deep breath

     'You should go with Yoongi'

I shook my head 'I won't leave you little brother'

He smiled 'and I love you for that, but we are with five, my friends and I. Yoongi is all by himself. You already lost two of your friends. If there is a chance to save y/n we should take it. Besides, we are stronger than you think.' he paused for a moment

     'I am stronger than you think'

I stared at him wide eyed, a little surprised he came here to tell me this

     'I know you are strong'

      'Then you also know it's okay to go with Yoongi. We will find our way to Jeju and I will see you there okay?' 

I sighed 'I don't know Hueningkai'

      'I know you will regret not going, I will be fine believe me'

I hesitated again but my little brother gave me a reassuring nod and I knew he was right. I would regret not following my best friend, I couldn't think about something happening to him because he was by himself.

He was the best fighter of all of us but sometimes the others were in group of over 15, he can't take them all.

He wouldn't stand a chance.

       'You are right' I hugged Hueningkai 'I will explain it to the rest, yoongi isn't far yet so it is best if you leave right away'

      'When did you become so grown up?' I smiled at him 'I am not!' Hueningkai said embarrassed and we both laughed.

      'Thank you brother, I love you' I said to him and I quickly grabbed my bag and ran out the door to catch up with Yoongi. 

Taehyung pov

I will admit I was feeling pretty bad. I couldn't focus on my responsibilities as the leader. I was worried about y/n as she was all by herself now. But she chose to run, she probably wanted to get back to her group, and therefore I had to set her free.

Yesterday was the worst as I had to explain everything to the group, we ended up not walking any distance at all so we had a day delay. but today we started again but still I felt pretty bad.

After two hours we arrived at a village again. A sudden sound startled all of us. It was the alarm that went off showing us that there were others nearby. We all looked around but couldn't see anyone.

Maybe it was a bug

I wanted to tell everyone to keep moving but then I heard a familiar voice

     'ah just the group we were looking for'

I turned around and my heart dropped at the group I saw in front of me.

Why them? Okay they scouted the same area and we had walked into them before but why now?

Could this day get even worse?

       'Seung Cheol' I greeted him pretty tensely. He didn't greet me back though, his eyes diverted to my left side.

       'Zhora, you look beautiful as ever' he smirked which made me tense up. His obsession with my little sister still didn't seem to have passed.

Jimin quickly took Zhora's hand

Seung Cheol's smirk turned into a frown

       'oh youare still together with that loser' 

This time Jungkook stepped forwards, but I put my hand on his shoulder

      'Say that again' Jungkook gritted through his teeth

Seung Cheol laughed out loud 'I think I upset your boyfriend' he said to Jimin.

oh how I hated this guy

       'What do you want?' I asked in a pretty hostile way.

Seung cheol stopped laughing and gazed at me

       'We are hunting a human'
