Mel's pov [Surprise]

Over a year ago

Omg, it's about to happen, Finally after five years of crushing on him, He is about to kiss me, I'm about to have my first kiss. I have no absolute idea why I'm acting like this , maybe because my crush finally noticed me and we became friends and I'm about to be kissed or maybe because of the herd of elephants that decided to start stomping their feet in my stomach or the sparks that ran through my spines when he touched me.

''May I?'' He whispered looking back and forth between my lips and my eyes. He was so close that I could feel is minty breath on my face

I didn't reply, I just closed my eyes hoping that will give him enough assurance that I wanted him to.

Our lips finally touched and all I could see with my eyes closed was fireworks, I sighed into the kiss and allowed him take the lead since I have no idea what I was doing. The kiss was gentle and I did the best I can in pouring out my feelings into the kiss

We both stopped to breathe, I wish breathing was not essential for human

"That was..."Gage started

''What's going on here?'' A cold voice cut in behind us. Of course dearest brother had to ruin the moment.

"Nothing, Gage was just leaving" I said a little quickly "Right Gage" I asked him looking at him straight in the eyes giving him a signal to go along with what I was saying

"Of course"Gage said looking at me confusedly

Jace looked back and forth between Gage and I, I knew he could tell I was lying. He gave Gage a long hard look, grinding his teeth in anger before he went back inside. He has always been an overprotective brother.

I turned around to face Gage "Sorry about that" I gestured to the back with my right thumb

"It's ok" He replied

"You should get going it's getting late and thank you for the date" I said shifting from foot to foot because I was still wondering what he thought of kiss earlier. I mean I could just ask him but nah I'm too shy for that.

"I really hope you say yes the next time I ask you out on a date"

"Of course" I grinned from ear to ear. I squealed inside, that's a good sign right?

"Ok bye see you soon" He smiled and pecked my cheeks before getting into his car and drove off but not before he gave a pant dropping smile once again allowing the dimples I love so much to show.

I sighed and went inside only to be met with Jace's fuming face which has managed to dampen my happy mood

"What was he doing here?"

"Gage?..." I acted as if I did not know who he was talking about

"Gage is just a friend, he invited me to eat out with him, so I joined him" I answered not completely lying

"Really" He scoffed "Do 'just friends' kiss like that?"

"Well, now you know what happened so I guess I can go take some rest'' I shrugged.

"Melanie, you are just fifteen, the guy is practically two years older than you, you don't have to be a whore to that scumbag who will end up dumping you like some thrash and I don't want you see him again" And that was when all hell broke loose.

"Oh!, like you do to other girls, look who is calling me a whore, you practically sleep with everything with boobs and ass" I laughed incredulously "At least Gage is better than you and I would see him whether you like it or not" I shouted back at him angrily
