The following morning, all the chatter at breakfast was about last night's happening, and the theories circulating seemed preposterous. Draco had been boasting that he'd figured it out, but Ophelia knew it was all rubbish by the way he was talking about it.

"It's a vault of Hogwarts, they keep all the magic items and portkeys and objects they don't want the ministry to find. My father told me." The story kept getting even more impossible as it went on.

"The heir to the chamber gets all the riches, but when they try to sell the objects, they go up in flames."

"There's a dragon guarding it. That's why no one has ever come out alive, or has seen it today." Ophelia rolled her eyes and ate her pastry, scanning her schedule to see what she had for the day. History of Magic with the Gryffindors first. Ophelia pursed her lips in thought. Maybe Professor Binns would know something? And technically, it would be considered the history of something magical. It would be a nice break from the annual wizard assemblies. How many could there be that actually needed to be studied? Eating the last bite of her pastry, Ophelia shoved her schedule in her bag and began to walk to class alone.

She was about to fall asleep. Professor Binns' voice was far from exciting, and Ophelia could barely keep awake. Usually she would write down one or two important dates and names, but today was exceptionally dull. Even Hermione wasn't taking her extremely overindulgent notes; the mousy Gryffindor had placed her head on her crossed arms, hunching over her desk and quite literally staring through Professor Binns' translucent torso.

Finally, Hermione raised her hand with a bit of sluggishness, and the ghostly professor tried to ignore her before she began to wave her arm emphatically.

"Yes, Miss Granger?"

"Could you tell us about the Chamber of Secrets?" Hermione asked, her question sending a wave of energy through the classroom, everyone sitting upright and listening intently.

"Absolutely not, Miss Granger, it is not proper class material."

A wave of groans echoed throughout the classroom, and Ophelia dropped her head into her hands once more.

"But isn't it important to us right now? I mean, if it opened before our eyes, we wouldn't even know?" Hermione tried again.

The ghostly professor sighed before taking his place, hovering in front of the lecture hall. Ophelia poked Draco in the side, who was fully asleep. He jolted awake, swaying slightly and squishing his eyes before leaning back into his chair, listening to the ghostly professor.

"As you all know, Hogwarts was created by the four founders as a school to teach young witches and wizards of their time how to... hone their magic. Their names: Godric Gryffindor,"

The first name elicited a few low cheers from the Gryffindor side of the room.

"Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin." Professor Binns spoke. Ophelia let out a low whistle when the last name was called, smirking slightly.

"They each created a house that they thought best represented themselves and what they saw in each young wizard that was brought to their schools. Gryffindor, representing courage, bravery, and determination."

Draco snickered, covering it up with a cough quickly.

"Hufflepuffs as hard-working, patient, and fair. Ravenclaws are wise, witty, and praised for their intellect, then the Slytherins, who prided themselves on their ambition, resourcefulness, and brilliance. Everything went smoothly, before one of the house heads, Salazar Slytherin, expressed his opinions on the exclusion of Muggle-born witches and wizards from Hogwarts, claiming they didn't belong amongst the pureblood students. The other three founders were furious, and after arguing for some time, Slytherin resigned his position, but only after he had finished construction of the hidden Chamber of Secrets, which contained a monster that could wipe out all of the muggle-born wizards from this school. And now that it has been opened, that monster can roam free, but only the heir could control it."

Well, that was a lot of information to take in. Ophelia watched Draco sink into his seat, coming to the realization that all of his stories were proved untrue. But the bigger question was: who is the heir? Surely it couldn't be Draco; he would have told her by now. Of course, he couldn't keep his mouth shut about anything, but he was her best guess.

Anyways, that was something for later.

Just as she was about to leave the classroom, Ophelia overheard Harry talking to Hermione and Ron, still getting over the sickly look of slug vomit.

"What if it's me?" Harry asked the two of them. Ophelia rolled her eyes. Of course, he would think it was him; he's bloody Harry Potter. He said something incoherent, but Ophelia could make out Hermione's response.

"Even in the wizarding world, Harry, hearing voices isn't a good sign."

"So, Potter's hearing voices?" Draco whispered in Ophelia's ear. "Maybe all of that fame has finally gone to his head."

Fed up with his spite, Ophelia yanked on the back of his blonde hair, causing the boy to yelp in surprise, rubbing the back of his neck where she had pulled a few strands out.

"Ow! What'd you do that for?"
