"Oh, there you are! We just finished eating" Y/n's mom greeted them while wiping her mouth with some tissue. "Did you find your rings?" Xiaoting's mom asked. Both Y/n and Xiaoting raised their right hands, showing the diamond ring on their middle ones. Ziyin was tailing the both of them silently. The three just talked about that thing and guess what? Yang Y/n was pissed to the both of them.

"I don't know what to say" that's what Y/n replied to Ziyin as the older confessed the thing that really happened. Xiaoting was listening all along so Y/n never played weak and just dodged all the questions in her head regarding about Ziyin and Xiaoting.  She wanted to ask "Why didn't you stopped her?" "Why didn't you tell me after you got back?" "Where were you when Xiaoting and Yurina developed feelings to each other?" And more.

Except to her family members, Xiaoting was the person she treasured the most. She can't lose the girl but now it's too late. Or is it? The engagement wasn't called off yet. She should be crying right now but she can't show her weak side to Xiaoting ever again.

"Why are you crying?" Xiaoting inched closer to your side. Y/n just got scolded by her parents for the first time for going out of their house. She just wanted to get some time alone to refresh her mind. Xiaoting came to her house late because she got ballet practice and Y/n, she don't have any extracurriculars but she do practice all by herself or with the family when they got time. Horseback riding, Golf, and Shooting Range were the few things she learned with her parents. Xiaoting on the other hand took a lot of dance lessons because she wanted to be a professional dancer in the future.

"I'm a person too but why do they keep on giving me instructions? I'm 14 already, I can do things on my own" Y/n clenched her fist. One of the most important rule of the house is to "Do not go outside". Even with Xiaoting, they can't go out together because both are still 'kids' as their parents referenced.

"They're just afraid they will lose you again"

There was a backstory why they kept on blocking Y/n from going out of the house. When she was 3, she almost got hit by her parent's car for running towards it as her dad drove inside the front gate. And when Y/n was 5, she almost got kidnapped by some rival company of her father's. Thankfully Mr. Win was there to save her. Her father still got a lot of rivals so she doesn't let Y/n to go out.

"But I'm a teenager now, I can protect myself, Xiao" that time, Y/n showed her weak spot towards Xiaoting. She never cried in front of her bestfriend before. Even tho she looks so small, she's very strong and confident about herself. Xiaoting on the other hand looks more like the fragile one. She did cried a lot of times infront of her friend especially when Y/n ignored her for 3 days after accidentally destroying the older one's school project.

"No matter age, it's still unsafe outside, baobei. Just listen to your parents"

"But I'm bored here" Y/n tossed the Rubik’s Cube that she solved while she was crying. "I just wanted to breath some fresh air-"

"Then play with me. Let's play truth or dare!" Y/n sighed and finally gave up. Shen Xiaoting was like her shadow, always around her. "Are we going to play this game for the rest of our lives?" Y/n asked. It's always truth or dare. It's like, she's being robbed about her identity because Xiaoting already asked almost all of her informations such as "What's the password on your locker?" "Do you think your dog isn't good looking?" And "What is the size of your ring finger?"

"What do you mean? It's fun tho"

"We've been playing this game for... 6 years already. I think I already answered all of the questions even the personal ones. What else are you going to ask me?" Y/n threw the empty bottle between the two of them to the wall where she threw the rubiks cube.
