Y/n and the group became increasingly busy over the next few days. While her group's schedules were still frozen, Xiaoting followed Y/n around. She only has three days of vacation left, one of which is Y/n's birthday.
Xiaoting decided not to attend Y/n's promotions the day before her birthday because she was preparing something at the private residence. An indoor date, just like how they used to celebrate birthdays. It is also their 5th anniversary today as lovers.
12 is a very special number for both of them. A lot of events happened every 12th of time or day to them. The first time they met was on September 12th, 2006. The second instance occurred on December 12, 2012, while Xiaoting and Y/n were on holiday with their parents in Switzerland. That was the time Xiaoting realized she had a crush on the other girl. Their birthdays and anniversaries were always on the 12th of something. Strange, but beautiful.
Since it's Sunday, YXY has returned home after filming an episode of Weekly Idol. Y/n had no idea about Xiaoting's plan or where she was at the time. Xiaoting simply told her she had her own schedule for today, and she immediately believed her.
"Please put it here..." Xiaoting was arranging the displays in the family house while waiting for Y/n. She also cooked with the maids, and thankfully, Kazuha was not present. It made her job a lot easier.
"What do you think, ajhumma? Will she like this?" she asked one of the elder maids, crossing her arms and looking around the house and the foods on the small table in the middle. "You worked hard for this, of course young master will like it..." the elder assured. The house appears to have been meticulously decorated, with holographic cutouts in one corner and candles to create a more romantic atmosphere. Y/n did this for Xiaoting's 20th birthday, and now she wants to repay her efforts.
"You two look cute in every picture; when did you start dating?" the elderly lady inquired as she examined the pictures on the walls. Pictures from when Y/n and Xiaoting were 7 to when they were 22. The bestfriends stood by each other and promised not to end their friendship. If only they could see the future, their younger selves must be proud of how they are doing now...
"When I was 13, I had my first love, and that was Y/n. I started feeling things as soon as we turned eleven, but I thought it was just infatuation, but every time, we grew closer to each other and be open to all. She was like... a safe house... home. I can tell her everything, and she will listen. She understands me well and can read me. That's why I liked her; she's unlike any of my other friends," Xiaoting explained, tearing up a little as she recalls the moments that were photographed; the pictures on the wall appear vivid in her memory; events that she will never forget.
