The two didn't actually halt messaging one another until late at night. Back then, they don't frequently message one another due to Y/n not owning her own phone. Her parents gave her a camera and a grand piano to fill her time instead of going online. Y/n's life sounds boring before but Xiaoting never gets bored around her.

"Have you ever thought of abandoning me?" The fifteen-year-old Y/n asked Xiaoting who was painting inside the older's room. Y/n was making their assignments, as usual.

"Why?" Asked Xiaoting.

"Because I'm boring? We can't even hang out in the town without escaping" Y/n has been asking herself the same question since they were 14. She realized what she do in her daily life for the past 7 years was pretty much boring but Xiaoting never left her side.

"You're not boring" Xiaoting replied without looking at her friend. "In fact, when you came, I got less and less bored at home. I got a new friend and a new house to stay at" She happily told her friend. Xiaoting probably has less than 5 friends in the town. The first four were the friends she made while Y/n didn't arrive at Sichuan yet.

"And, you're not that spoiled. Spoiled children are the most boring people in the world"

"What do you mean by 'not spoiled'? I'm literally a baby in this household"

"No, not that. Your parents might be spoiling you stuffs but you never act rude and has a lot of skills than those normal spoiled rich kids in the town" Y/n aren't into the presents her parents gave her. She's planning on gifting it to her cousins if she has the chance. What are the presents? Bags, Expensive Colognes, Dresses... and other stuff. Y/n found herself not into this feminine stuff. She's not that masculine either so she's in the middle. Did you know that she wears the same style of clothes every day? An oversized black t-shirt. She wears them in a cycle every week. She helps the maids wash her clothes so the drying would be fast.

She was too bored she can do all the chores at home. Just like what Shen Xiaoting described her, she's not a spoiled rich kid.
