Goodnight

Tiredness crept into her eyes
She shut them slowly and turned of the light
Although her lids were tightly shut
She saw the world and said
Goodnight

Goodnight moon
Goodnight trees
Goodnight stars
Goodnight sea
And on and on and on she went
'Till dawn herself arrived
Dawn said goodnight to the moon and stars
And to the others she said Ai
But Dillothel
A silent flower
Was still saying her farewells
Goodnight birds
Goodnight bees
Goodnight wind
And rain and leaves
Goodnight elves
And family
By then the sun had awakened
And pushed against her lids
Dillothel opened her eyes
And was surprised to see
No Night!
