All suffering originates from craving, from attachment, from desire.

20 5 1

From craving's grasp,
desires tightly wound,
A bitter vine on souls,
it does confound.
shadows' dance,
where whispers softly tread,
suffering,
Takes of hearts misled.

Silken webs of longing
endless streams.
The shackles of attachment,
bind our tender dreams,
We chase illusions,
under moon's disguise.
Like stars that seek their place,
in distant skies.

From this craving,
suffering we bear
In love's sweet dance,
we're caught in passion's snare,
The fleeting, the elusive,
the untrue,
Like rivers seeking oceans,
we pursue.
