Getting along

Today was the first week to visit Hogsmeade. Third years and above have been permitted weekend trips into the village. Y/n got permission from her Mother and she allowed her but she refused to go. Because she wanted some alone time with her friends 'animals'.

Over the bridge, Harry and Professor Lupin were talking about his family and the Boggart. Harry kept his promise and haven't told anyone about y/n's Boggart. He felt bad for the Malfoy girl even when he didn't want to

Harry smiled at himself while looking down the bridge and his eye caught platinum hair figure who's face was not seen as the hair was all over it. She was feeding seeds to the birds and beside her was a Slytherin scarf.

Harry knew at once who she was. Something inside Harry wanted him to talk to Y/n every moment he got. He knew she was not like her brother as one time Harry saw y/n and Hermione talking in the library smiling at each other. Malfoy smiling at Granger. Was shocking to Harry

"So you and miss Malfoy" Lupin said while looking at y/n who was still talking to animals and laughing then he turn to Harry "do you like her?" Lupin completed

"Er..I don't know her much" Harry replied. His eyes still fixed on y/n's happy face

"She's a great girl Harry" professor Lupin said "very different from the rest of the Malfoy's"

"When I first met her, before Hogwarts. I didn't knew she was a Malfoy and when she found out who I was, she didn't put me down" Harry busted. He didn't know what inside him made him say this to Lupin

Both of them were watching the girl as she stood up and walked into the Forest.

"the sun is setting down soon. I don't think it's safe to go inside the forbidden forest all alone" Lupin told Harry who try shouting her name but she didn't listen.

Meanwhile---

"Padfoot is not here. I brought him food" Y/n mumble to herself. Then listen to what the bird was saying "the last time you saw him was in the forbidden forest?"

"Then he disappeared? Er.. can you take me to the place you last saw him? I might drop some food for him" she asked the bird who started flying and she followed

"MALFOY!"  "Y/N!"

she heard someone calling her name but when she turn around there was no one.

The bird took her where she last saw Padfoot. Y/n try to look around but he was not there.

"Miss Malfoy" she heard a voice which made her jump. It belong to Professor Lupin

"It's Y/n. Professor" she said in a high voice then she notice Harry beside him

"Y/n, soon the sun will be sitting down. It's not safe to be in the forest this time" Professor Lupin told her

"It's alright professor they will not harm me" y/n smiled and the same bird sat on her shoulder

"If I'm not mistaken, you can speak to animals" professor Lupin said. Y/n gave a nod "lets get out of here. It's getting late" professor Lupin said while turning

Y/n looked back to find any single sign of Padfoot but she couldn't. Harry and Lupin looked back at her

"Let me just-" she open her beg and took out two sandwiches and a toast. She put the food in the napkin and place it near the tree "-Now we can go" she completed.

Harry smiled at her and they left the forest
"If you find Padfoot then tell him I left food" y/n whispered to the bird so that Harry and Professor Lupin can't hear. The bird nod and fly away.

When they reach the castle, students were coming back from the village "I may leave you two here" After that Lupin went inside the castle.

"I was right. You can talk to animals" Harry said smirking. She chuckles

"Harry!"

Both the 3rd year looked at the owner of the voice. Ron Weasley came running towards Harry & Hermione Granger behind him

"Harry!" Hermione said in the same voice, than she notice y/n next to him "Y/n, hey! I thought you went to Hogsmeade"

"change of plans" y/n replied with a nod. Harry and Ron shared a look. Confusion on their faces

The thing is, Y/n and Hermione are parents in a few classes. And they both get along with each other. First Hermione thought that it's going to be very difficult and that y/n will be cold towards her as she is a Malfoy but it was the exact opposite.

Y/n spotted her brother and his friends in the crowed  "gotta go. See you in charms Hermione" she smiled and ran towards her brother's group

"What the bloody hell was that?" Ron shouted "Harry was talking to her and giving her those weird, sparkle eyes. And now you Hermione you're talking to her. She is bloody Malfoy" Ron complain

"I am not giving her sparkle eyes! What're you talking about?" Harry argued

"Well Ron to answer your question, yes I am talking to her because she is not that bad. she helped me a few times and she never called me a mud-blood. And to you harry, yes you are sending her sparkling eyes" Hermione cleared
