It's about damn time I do one of these in 2020 as i'm now older than previous me. my opinions have matured and slightly changed and I feel like I gave many of the shippings unfair ratings and was rather immature about my criticisms. So, i'm doing it...
One of the newest shippings I've heard of is RollerKarateShipping which is the pairing of Korrina of the Shalour City Gym and Bea who is the gym leader of the Stow-On-Side gym.
Before I get into the rating and thoughts on this shipping, I just wanted to mention that for some reason I thought whilst writing this that Stow-On-Side's name might be based off of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the UK. Note that I don't have a switch and therefore haven't played Sword and Shield (might try and save for a switch so I can get Legends Arceus). Anyways, idk if that matters, or whether it is even remotely a good theory. Apparently, that down is based on somewhere in Kent.
Anyways, onto the main topic of this chapter. This shipping became apparent to me because of one of the recent episodes of Pokemon Journeys anime. I was surprised to see a moment and I'm not gonna lie I think this is an underrated ship. I think this ship is pretty cute (if I were to ship Korrina hardcore with anyone it'd probably be with Clemont or Bea), and the moment in the anime was pretty fucking hilarious to be honest. The fanart is pretty cute as well. I like the fact they are both fighting type gym leaders which makes the ship have decent potential. I feel like this is a good shipping.
