Zuko held Makaira close to him as he slept. She listened to the beat of his heart as she slowly closed her eyes.
Her eyes opened quickly once she heard singing. Makaira looked around. She spotted Narumi standing on the balcony, staring back at them. "Narumi?" Makaira carefully got out of bed, avoiding to wake Zuko from his slumber.
She walked towards her. Narumi let her get close to her. "What are you-I have seen him in so long." Narumi said, "He has grown into a strong man."
Makaira looked over her shoulder to Zuko. She did not see the gentle smile that Narumi gave her. "My brother finds comfort and love in you, Makaira." She told her, "I can feel it. And I can tell that you feel the same as he does."
"I do." "Narumi smiled once again. Zuko shifted, causing the girls to look at him. He only continued to sleep. Makaira felt Narumi's hands on her shoulders. "Take care of him." She whispered.
Makaira turned to face Narumi but she was already gone. Makaira sighed. She looked at the moon one last time before returning to Zuko’s side in bed. Makaira slowly closed her eyes as she listened to the sound of his heart beat.
