Under The Wisteria

Chapter 1

-Megumi's POV-

He clicked his tongue in annoyance. Never did he know that he could end up lost in the woods. Pulling his handphone out, it showed there was no signal at all. If he summoned Nue, he could compromise his location to his enemy. Grumbling in annoyance as he summoned his dog, "Gyokuken..kon". He whispered quietly as he summoned his divine dog. He smiled when saw the dog as he gave him a light pat, "Let's find those two idiots..". It's been an hour yet, he could feel they keep walking and end up at the same place. His eyes then saw glowing red and blue butterflies passed by him, 'Butterflies? Is it the enemy?'. Carefully back away, he could see those butterflies just flew without a care. Yet his shikigami somehow starts to chase after them, "W-wait you- Agh! This dog!". Start following his shikigami that keep chasing those two butterflies, his eyes noticed how the path started to change 'A trap? Let's be more cautious..'. Keeping his guards up, his eyes widened when he arrived nearby a lake. What shocked him more is there is a woman standing there all alone under the wisteria. Seeing that, he looked around as he just noticed how he is also under the wisteria. The moon was bright thanks to the late summer that made the sky clear. Carefully getting closer, he could feel his breath taken away when she looked back at him. He couldn't help but stare at her. He could see some red and blue butterflies, and some long-tailed tit birds around her. Fair pale skin, black dark locks like the night with eyes colour as red as ruby. He could feel his heart start to racing from both fear and amazement with the sight. The gentle breeze that playfully swayed her long locks, made him freeze in awe. "Who you might be?", she finally spoke. Her voice sounds gentle and warm, making his cheeks somehow blushed yet he couldn't help but have unsettling feelings about her, "What are you...". Her eyes studying him and saw the uniform he wore, hearing his questions, she gave him a small smile "I'm...".

Just when he was about to hear her answer, he saw how Yuji passed between them. "Yuji?!", he gasped in shock and saw how his friend flew right into the lake. His head quickly turned to look at the direction where Yuji was coming, his eyes widened when he saw the cursed spirits. 'Semi Grade 1?!', remembered the woman he was talking to, the time he turned his head, she was already nowhere to be found. "What the.. Where is she-", "MEGUMI LOOK OUT!!", heard Yuji shout at him, he cussed under his breath as he tried to defend himself when the cursed spirits started to strike at him, "OROCHI!!". Never he thought he would let himself get distracted like that. Minutes passed, it sure took a toll on the three of them just to bring down the cursed spirits that night. "Urgh.. I'm beat!!", Nobara groaned as she leaned to Yuji. Clearly the three of them looked quite beaten up, "What the hell.. They said it will only be some Grade 3 spirits..", she wiped away the blood that was streaming down from her forehead. "Yeah. That really caught me off guard too..", Yuji sighed as he looked at Megumi and fell silent, "What's wrong, megumi?". Hearing his name being called, he looked a bit hesitant as he rubbed the back of his neck, "Say Yuji..". "Hm? Yeah? WHat is it?", he then saw he shook his head "Nothing. Nevermind. Let's head back". Yuji blinked as he looked at him confused, "Wha- What the hell man?! Hey, what is it?!". "Eh? Eh? What is it? What is it! Tell us, megumi!!", clearly now he ended up making both of his friends curious yet seems he decided to just keep it to himself as for now. 'Maybe..I imagine things.. But..what if.. How odd.. What's this unsettling feelings..', he sighed as he pondered, trying to ignore both Yuji and Nobara that kept nagging him because he decided not to ask his question 'Who...is she..Cursed spirits? Her presence.. Not like others'.

-End of Megumi's POV-

"Fancy meeting you here, y/n-chan~", heard the familiar voice, you turned around as you saw the familiar face smiling at you, "Konbanwa, senpai.. How are you faring?". "Uwaah~ You sure haven't changed at all. Well it's the usual. Anyway, don't you think it's a bit mean not helping my students and watching them getting all beaten up? You are surely cold, y/n-chan.. But that's what I like about you", hearing that, you sighed. "Gojo-senpai.. Aren't you the mean one? They are your students and yet you are just watching from afar..", you could see him flinching, "Aaah~ It's training it's training~ If things go south, I will take it over. So, then what brings you to this place, y/n-chan? For someone as important as you to be here.. Are you perhaps running away again?". Turning your back, you start to walk away from him, "The wisteria.. They are blooming.". You could hear his light footsteps start walking following you, "Flower viewing~ How romantic~ Thank you for the invitation". "I never invite you, senpai. Please go back to the hole you crawl out of.", you spoke coldly as he just laughed it off and kept following you. Satoru Gojo, the man that you always avoided. You find him annoying most of the time, because he could be a really chatterbox and tend to be loud. As someone that prefers a peace and quiet atmosphere, his presence would be unbearable most of the time. Beside the history between the two of you are the more reasons why you didn't want to see his face. Finally arrived back at the lake, you find a spot to sit under the wisteria. "..Y/n..I'm sorry..", you flinched as you didn't bother to look at him "It's alright.. It's all in the past..". Seeing how he sat beside you, doing as he pleased, he lay his head on your lap, "Senpai.. What do you think you are doing?". "Reminiscing our past", you scowl at him, "Please get up.. This is inappropriate.. If someone saw and words reached him, I would be in trouble.". You could hear him sighed as he got up and just sat beside you, "Can't we fix it?". "We can't.. It's too late to fix it. You should find someone else, senpai.. Someone who isn't cursed like me..", you gave him a small smile. Watching the moon and the wisteria, after that conversation, you both just sat there in silence. Enjoying the night with each other's company. The time you two were about to part way, you could feel his warm hand grab yours "Join us, y/n.. Take the offer from Shoko. It will buy you some more times-". Pulling your hand away, you sighed a little "I will give it some thought.. Good bye, senpai..". He just stood there, watching you leave as he mumbled under his breath, "..Love really is the worst curse...".

Making your way back home, you change your clothes as quickly as you could. "Y/n-sama..", heard another voice behind the door, you glance at the door before back brushing your head "It's late.. What is it..". "The head of Zenin's clan urges you to give your answers.. They've sent another messengers when you were away.. ", your hand stopped moving for a brief moment before brushing your hair, "Tell them I'm still unable to decide the day and postpone it due to my condition..". "As you wish, my lady. Also.. The head would like to see you tomorrow morning.. It's about the offer from Jujutsu High..", hearing that, you could feel your mood turn more sour "I see.. Thank you. You can take your leave..".
