5.A LIE

After about three minutes they saw some movement in water. All got attentive. They waited and they saw Avu coming up. Sid was tied with her and she was holding him close. All so called ladies out there got embarrassed. She came up and dragged Sid with her. Coconut was in her hand which she gave to Pandit Ji (Priest). All were shocked. She then put Sid on the ground. Others quickly rushed to them. Because of his weight Avu fell on his chest but she composed and untie the rope. All were looking at her actions. She then sat beside him and started pressing his chest.

Kamladevi : Ae ladki yeh kya kar rahi hain? (YOU GIRL WHAT ARE YOU DOING?)

Avu : Woh mar jaayega. Iske andar paani gaya hain bohot. (HE WILL DIE. WATER HAS ENTERED HIS BODY A LOT)

(No one said anything. Ri was patting Sid's cheeks. After some minutes Sid coughed badly. All got relief. Sid opens his eyes and the first thing he saw was Avu who was completely drenched in water and water was dripping from her eyelashes and hair. He didn't say anything and got lost in her. 

Everything stopped for him. All were calling him but he was not responding as he was busy staring at Avu's face. Avu was first not bothering to look at him but after looking in his eyes she got lost. Because why not? Who won't get lost in those hazel pools. 

Her hands were still on his chest. She was sitting close to him. Her lips were shivering due to cold water. Suddenly, their moment got broke by the one and only his kamina best friend Ri who hugged him tightly)

Ri : Bhai thik ho ? (BRO YOU OK?)

(In response Sid just nodded. They made him sit and Avu backed off. Anu quickly came and wrapped a shawl around Avu. Sid was still looking at her only)

Ram : Siddharth aap thik hain? (SIDDHARTH ARE YOU OK?)

Sid : Ji Papa ji. (YES DAD)

(He nodded.)

Vibha : Beta app behosh kaise ho gaye?  (SON HOW DID YOU FAINTED?)

(Before Sid could say anything Avu moved towards that Suraj and dragged him in middle and threw him there)

Lady : Besharam ladki. Anjaan ladke ko chu liya. (SHAMELESS GIRL. SHE TOUCHED AN UNKNOWN BOY)

(Anu heard it and felt bad for Avu. Avu just slapped Suraj that he fell on the ground)

One man : Yeh kya kar rahi ho? (WHAT ARE YOU DOING?)

Avu : Issine isko baandh ke rakha tha. Sirf iss ne nahi inn sab ne. (HE WAS THE ONE WHO TIED HIM UP. NOT ONLY HIM BUT ALL OF THESE)

(All got shocked.)

Avu : Bolo sahi hain na? (SAY IT'S RIGHT NO?)

Suraj : Yeh ladki jhuth bol rahi hain. Ham aisa kyun karenge. (THIS GIRL IS LIEING. WHY WILL WE DO IT?) 

Kamladevi : Ha wahi toh. (YEAH THAT'S WHAT)

Avu : Thik hain toh aap issi se puch lijiye. (OK THEN ASK HIM ONLY)

(She said pointing at Sid)

Sid : Hamein kuch nahi pata. Ham pehle se hi behosh ho gaye the. (I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. I WAS FAINTED FROM FIRST TIME ONLY)

Suraj : Ab bolo. (NOW SAY)

Avu : Toh aap inn sabse pucho. Boliye aap sab. (THEN ASK OTHERS. TELL THEM YOU ALL)

(She asked to others who were with them in the well. They also shrugged off making Avu shocked)

Avu : Dad you know na I don't lie. I saw it dad. 

Aman (cupping her face) : Don't worry baccha. I know you won't lie. I trust you. But baby these people won't believe us. They are very cruel and will blame only females only. We should not make this a big mess. Let's leave it. Let's go home.

(Avu nodded slightly)

Man : Angrezi mein kya bola re? (WHAT ARE YOU TALKING IN ENGLISH?)

Aman (with full swag) : Gaaliyan di. Shudh hindi mein deke dikhau? (I CURSED YOU. WANNA LISTEN IN HINDI?)

(All of them widened their eyes. Aman took Avu and was about to go but Pandit Ji stopped them)

Pandit Ji : Naariyal isne laaya hain. Toh mandir mein sabse pehle isse hi jaana hoga. (SHE BROUGHT THE COCONUT. SO SHE HAS TO GO TO THE TEMPLE FIRST)

Kamladevi : Matlab ek ladki mandir mein sabse pehle pravesh karegi? (MEANS A GIRL WILL GO INSIDE THE TEMPLE FIRST?) 

Pandit Ji : Jo sadiyon se hota aa raha hain wahi hona chahiye. Warna anhoni ho sakti hain. (THE THING WHICH HAS HAPPENED TILL NOW SHOULD BE FOLLOWED ONLY. OTHERWISE ANYTGING BAD CAN HAPPEN)

(All kept quiet. Avu looked at Aman and he nodded. She took the Naariyal and went towards Avu. All others went behind her. She opened the gate of Mandir and went inside. She put the Naariyal (COCONUT) in front of Ram and stood there praying with a smile. Her family with Anu also took the blessings. 

They were going towards the exit. Sid and his family were also coming from opposite side. Sid was talking with Ri. Kamladevi and Avu were busy in throwing daggers towards each other in their mind. Suddenly, a lot of people came inside the Mandir pushing everyone and in that Sid accidently hit the Sindoor Thaal which was kept on the window side. 

The thaal went in air and hit directly on Avu. She got hurt on her head. Kamladevi smirked at her and went. Avu got covered in Sindoor. Her mom face palmed and they all quickly went outside. While going she passed from Sid. In all those noise and people Sid again heard that Chan Chan of Avu's Payal. His mind got diverted and he turned to see.

He saw many people and girls there. He couldn't figure out who was she. So he kept silent. They went inside and took blessings. Avu's mom dragged Avu in home and threw three buckets of water on her. She made a grumpy face and others laughed.)

Nirmal : Ok now go and get dry and wear some baggy clothes.  

(Avu nodded smiling. She wears shorts and T- shirts at home only. Her dad never stopped her for that. Even he is ok if he wear those outside as well. She has many clothes which are modern as well. But she likes to wear Indian. Sometimes she also wears modern clothes. She came outside of the room. Anu saw her and got shocked)

Anu : Aap aise kapde pehenti hain?

Avu : Yeah. Not outside. At home only.

Anu : Accha

Nirmal : Avu take the coffee you will feel better.

(Avu nodded and they all sat there chit chatting)
