If I'm wrong, I am right / Severus Snape x reader

,,Hello." you said as you entered Alena's shop. It was a cold day during the weekend and you decided to visit her. You haven't seen her for a long time which was a bit strange. When Severus and her started dating it was always you tree together. She was always so kind to you, but timer after time she distanced herself more and only spent her time with Severus.

,,Hi y/n!" she said smiling, but it wasn't a honest smile. More like when you meet relatives you don't like, but don't want to let it show. You didn't noticed it - or in better words you ignored it. For Severus's sake. He was happy with her and they love each other and that's all that counts.

,,What are you doing here on such a cold day?" she asked.

,,I wanted to visit you because we haven't see each other in a while."

,,Yeah, I'm really busy with the shop at the moment." But the shop was empty. Of course it can't be full all the time but for the fact that she seems to be so busy - or that's at least what she tells everyone.

Alena was walking back to the backroom during the talk. You followed her.
,,Severus mentioned th-"

,,What did he mentioned?" She asked and turned around. The look on her face was so weird, like you said something inappropriate which you obviously did not.

,,He said you've been busy and you're not sleeping in the castle like him"
And after you said it, she almost looked really pissed off after you finished the sentence, but that must be imagination.

,,Oh, you've spoken to him?"
What a dumb question, you thought. Of course you have, he's your friends and besides that also your teacher. She seems to be angry about this for some reason.

,,Yes, of course. Anyways how are you?"

,,Like I've said before, stressed." she replied harsh.

And then a group of 3rd years entered the shop and suddenly she was a completely different person. With a friendly voice and a smile she welcomed them warmly. It was almost scary how quick she changed.

They talked a bit and you decided to leave. The whole thing was so weird and untypical for her. She was always a close  trustworthy friend, one of the persons you immediately felt safe and loved around. And now she's so cold and indifferent.

On the way back to Hogwarts you passed the forbidden forest and some fields. It reminded you of the night Severus and you had a walk in the night. It was last December during the christmas holiday's. He came up with the idea after he couldn't sleep. He dressed himself and were about to leave and walked into the living room, past the sofa where you were lying when he saw that you are still awake.

,,Where are you going?" you asked confused.

,,I couldn't sleep and thought a walk might help. Do you wanna join me?"

,, Sure, just give me a minute."

The castle was so peaceful at night. So quiet and untouched. He was wearing the winter cloak you gave him once and a brown scarf.

You two went into the forest which was scary to you. Not only because of the darkness but for all the unknown and dangerous creatures out there. He began to tell you about the most recent book he's reading. There are tree topics he's really passionate about and could talk about for hours: potions, defence against the dark arts (obviously) and books. All kind of books even (which surprised you) muggle classics like the picture of Dorian Gray, Frankenstein, Pride and Prejudice and other Jane Austen books.

It was windy and when you looked up at the sky it started to snow, like in on of the love story's when the couple has its magical first- kiss moment. The only difference was you two were not in love. Of course you loved him and so did he but not in that way.
He put an arm around you because he saw you're freezing.

,,This moment is perfect." you said after a while.

,,It's beautiful." he replied. The world wrapped itself in its white veil. Innocence. Truth.

You felt immediately asleep after you two came back to his chambers. He covered you up and went to sleep too.

This is one of the most beautiful memories you have, and nearly all the others including him too.

It was afternoon and you layed in bed with the book he gave you. He turned you into a huge bookworm. At first it was him reading to you and then after a time he began to give you books. First short ones but later also thicker ones. The first book he ever gave you was ,,Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen" , and it was surprising to know he's reading that kind of books.

Your current read is ,lord of the flies' which sounds more like him. Morality and immorality, people's thoughts in atypical situations.

He's also very interested in philosophy and psychology in general everything about the human that you might not think when you meet them for the first time.

Once I asked him what he thinks what happens after death.

,,I think whatever we imagine happens. For example if you believe in heaven , you'll be in there after you die. We should experience happiness at least once in our lives and if that is not the case, then we should at least have our dearest wish fulfilled. Some people hope to find peace, and others just want to sleep forever. Maybe we just desire what we don't have and hope to find it in death."

This took me so long and it's not even good😭😭 I promise the next chapters will be better
