XXII.COGNIZANCE

(Year 850)

"RAHHHHHH!" An Attack Titan roared in rage. Delphi circulated him from above with a loud screech. 

"Yes..." Aera said under her breath, gritting her teeth as her eyes glowed gold. 

Eren had finally transformed into his Titan form for the first time. Before that happened, Trost District's Wall has been breached after the Colossal Titan appeared, destroying the Wall out of thin air. The 104th cadet corps, who have graduated recently, fought together with the Garrison regiment to battle the Titans who had entered the District while the civilians evacuate.

Aera had noticed that almost all of the Titans that swarmed around the place were mostly the late Eldian Restorationists. Dina was nowhere to be found and there were only her late father's comrades, who had come to devour humans. 

Then there Eren's Titan form roared in rage as he battles the Pure Titans while Mikasa stood there with parted lips. Delphi kept tailing around him as it silently flew above him, staring at him with golden iris eyes.

A moment later, The Titan collapsed on the ground. Eren suddenly emerged from the nape as his comrades widen their eyes in obliged. Without hesitation, Mikasa goes down to the Titan and hugged Eren with watery eyes. Aera could tell that Mikasa cares for him deeply. Ackermans are made to be loyal and act as a servant to their host but Mikasa is different, it looked like that Eren had given her a purpose to live, slightly similar to Kenny to Uri's bond.

While Valkyrie Titan inheritors have to be respectful, dedicated, and faithful towards the Founding Titan. They have to bow to them and act as their right hand. Like Annabelle being docile towards her brother, Karl Fritz, and Agatha is devoted towards her brother, Uri Reiss. While Aera is somewhat respectful yet stern towards her former late host, Frieda Reiss.

Soon afterward, Eren and his friends almost got hit by a canon. Commander Pyxis of the Garrison Regiment devised a plan with Armin to make Eren carry a giant boulder to seal the hole to prevent the Titans from entering Trost District. Once Eren got into his Titan form, he hit Mikasa with his fist, which she evaded. Due to a lack of practice and experience, Eren can't fully control his Titan.

When Armin motivated Eren by saying that they must join the Survey Corps just so they could see the ocean from beyond the walls. When Armin stated about the ocean, Aera's eyes flashed as she saw a polluted and tainted ocean, fragments from the future omen. She heavily exhales at what she is currently seeing.

Once the Wall was sealed, Eren fell into a coma and has taken to the dungeon under the Military Police's supervision for a while. After the People of the Walls have received news about Eren transforming into a Titan, they were moderately shocked.

"This boy might be a threat to humanity like Vivienne Reiss!"

"Eren Yeager? He might be dangerous as the Duchess."

"But he did seal the hole on Trost District. Oh dear, what has become of our world."

In a Regal Tavern, there were full of nobles and a few peasants chattering around the place there were also Military soldiers, and Clyde was there too, probably talking about the recent news.

"What happened to the banners?" One man harshly questioned the Bartender before taking a sip on his vodka, referring to the banners that the people had displayed around the place, asking and begging about the truth about Vivienne Reiss.

"I took them down." The bartender answered him as he wipes the table. Just after Aera had disappeared, The people of the Walls had commenced rallying the Royal government, but after the Monarchy's Government had started making legal actions against those who dares to ask questions about the Duchess, many laid down and stood quiet. Some banners were taken down and signs were burned.
