Damon's PoV

I walk straight to the main office and pushed the door open. All eyes turned to me and by judging the look on their faces they were having a serious talk. Melissa was first to stood up and rushed to hug me.

"You good?" I asked embracing her and she hummed smilingly.

"Liam, it's good to see you." I said giving him a brotherly hug and did same with James.

"Uncle Alessandro!" I called out and he immediately pulled me into a warm hug. He always like that..he was like a father figure to me, ofcourse after Stefano.

"Everything okay, my boy." Stefan said hugging me and I nodded at him. He smiled at me but I know it didn't reached his eyes. He looked tired and depressed.

I hugged Antonio and next was Steve followed by George.

"All good back there?" Steve asked and I nodded and look at the only person who's been sitting.

"Elena." I smiled walking towards her. She's smiling at me while eating chocolate ice cream. It was all over her face.

"How you doing?" I asked and went down a little.

"And how's my little niece?" I asked rubbing her baby bump which has grown a lot in these two months.

"She's good and whined about missing her favourite uncle." Elena said showing her cute dimples.

"Oh doesn't daddy treat you good?" I asked in baby voice and glare at Antonio who raised his hand in surender.

"She's mommy's girl." He said and we all laughed. Long story short Elena is pregnant with a baby girl and since then we have been waiting for that little girl to come to this earth. Antonio is going to be father when we heard this news we all were happy and excited for him.

"I'm here now. Come soon baby." I said caressing her belly one more time before sitting on my regular seat. We all took our seats living the head chair as only one person can sit there. Pearl.

Even though he's not here nothing will change. He's our king and always will be.

"It's good to be back here. I missed you guys." I said out and took a sip of my champagne.

"I hope everything is settle at the company, si?" Stefano asked and I sighed and told them what happened. About the proposition and the time we had left.

"That bastard I knew he'd create problems for us. Now we have to be faster than before. We don't have time and as much as I know knight he will surely do something to endanger the company. We have to react fast." Stefano said and we all agreed to him.

"Don't worry Stefano I'm with you. We're trying our best to find him but it looks like he doesn't want to be found." Uncle Alessandro said.

"He suffered so much from a very young age and him acting like this isn't something strange but we have to find him. If he didn't come back then there will a war. People will suffer.. innocent people and we can't let that happen." Stefano looked at us with helpless expression. I knew he's blaming himself for what happened. We tried to convince him that's it's not his fault but it's Stefano Salvatore we're talking about.

"He loved her so much didn't he?" Our attention turned towards the source of voice. Elena was looking at us with pain in her eyes. She stopped eating the icecream a while ago.

"Si and she loved him too." Melissa said and tears brimmed her eyes.

"I wish I got to know her soon. If she'd be alive right now we could be friends." She smiled bitterly.
