Izuku wasn't sure if he had heard her right in all honesty. His mouth was agape and his eyes wide, he wasn't thinking about the argument anymore, he wasn't even thinking at all.

(Y/n)s eyes held tears of frustration once again.

"What"

She turned visibly red and broke there eye contact, opting for the ground.

"I know it's forbidden, that I can't love you, that I'm only supposed to be your guard. I'm not even supposed to have a friendship with you, but for some reason I fell for you"

She paused, thinking of her next words carefully. She smiled partly in pity for herself.

"Who am I fooling, I walked into love with you, practically sprinted. I'm sorry I didn't stop myself"

She blushed further. Izuku followed suite. He just sits there for a moment, trying to comprehend what he had just heard.

"I-I'm... I love you too"

He said his words softly, maybe he would proclaim them to the world another day but right now it's all that he thought was necessary.

The complications from this exchange were beyond their realm of belief. Never before had a member of the royal family had been romantically involved with a person not of royal blood, let alone a member of the guard without withdrawing their right to the throne. The only exception to this rule was in Bakugous kingdom, but they did many things differently to be fair.

But when the two of them embraced, they didn't care. All that was happening in the world didn't matter, all they could do was stay there, in each other's arms.

Izuku was warm, his hair was soft as well. He gave nice hugs, it made her feel special. (Y/n) was strong, but had a very kind embrace. He felt safe in her arms.

(Y/n) never thought she was one for physical interaction. Sure she had been hugged before, but most of them were either from creepy guys trying to hit on her that were able to sneak up, or out of politeness. They were never due to her wanting to be held or her wanting to hold someone. Except with Izuku.

She had comforted Uraraka of course, there had been a lot going on in her life and trying to make up for her rudeness when they had first met she listened and held her while she cried, but it was always initiated by Uraraka, never herself.

This was so much different than she ever would have imagined it to be. She loved the feeling of holding him, wrapping her arms around his waist and having his around her neck. She was slightly taller than him so his face was right in the crook of her neck, she could feel his cheeks that were dampened with tears.

(Y/n) moved one of her hands in between his shoulder blades and he readjusted himself, squeezing her tighter in the process.

Her mind temporarily blanked. Her heart skipped many beats and chills shot through her spine, though she didn't move an inch. He looked so cute like this.

He loosened his grip on her, preparing to say something and she did as well, but she didn't let him go completely. It could have been an hour but it have only felt like seconds to her.

She might have figured out that she was touch starved.

"Do you think we'll be okay?"

He breaks the hug and they sit down next to the still burning fire much to (Y/n)s dismay.

"Yeah, but you still need to eat"

She glanced over to the now cold food and pondered for a moment about how they could reheat it without it burning. Her thoughts were cut off by Izukus laughter.

"We just spilled our emotions to each other and confessed our love, and all you can think about is food?"

He continued to softly laugh and in that moment he looked beautiful, they were beautiful. She wiped the tears off of her face and let out a small chuckle.

"Shut up"

She smiled and for the first time in days she saw his. And for the first time in days they looked up at the stars.

Hey! Sorry this was a little short but I quite like it. Also sorry if your short, it's just most people write their Oc's and they write (Y/n) as like 4'11 and I'm like 5'8 in real life so I wanted to make all my tall beauties feel included! I hope you guys have a good morning, day, and night!
