Dove's POV
Age: 5
Location: Punishment Room, Base
TW: implied SA

"Are you alright?" Rio whispers to me. I feel too weak to say anything, but I manage to force a noise out of my dry throat.

"I'm sorry," he says. I frown and lift my head from its bent position.

Rio and I refused to fight each other during training, resulting in both of us getting 50 lashes.

"I could've taken your place," he says quietly.

"No, you couldn't," I mutter.

Rio looks like he wants to say something, but the door opens, making both of us close our mouths and glare at the person.

"Oh goody, you're still alive," Sir says as he enters the room. He glances at me, then at Rio. "You two...always do stubborn."

He turns to me and harshly grabs my chin, forcing me to meet his eyes. "I expect better from you 32. But...I should've known. You will obviously follow the lead of your elders."

He forcefully drops my head, making me wince slightly. I watch as he approaches Rio, a cruel smile on his face.

"Number 44, you have been setting a bad example for your peers. What do you have to say about that?"

I meet Rio's eyes, silently begging him to not say anything. But, of course, he doesn't listen.

"Rot in hell," he says through gritted teeth. Sir's smile widens at his words.

My heart drops. He wanted Rio to say that. He knew Rio was going to say that.

TRIGGER WARNING STARTS

Sir starts to laugh maniacally, sending chills down my spine. Fear grips me as I watch him walk back to the door and open it.

Five men file in, followed by two guards who release Rio from his chains. They haul him to his feet and start to drag him out of the room.

A pathetic whimper escapes my throat when I realize what's going to happen.

"WAIT!" Rio screams as he's dragged out. "I TAKE IT BACK! STOP! PLEASE!"

Sir continues laughing as the men start to swarm me. Tears start to form in my eyes.

"Too late!" He laughs gleefully.

I start to cry when the guards successfully drag Rio out of the room, locking me in with Sir and the other men.

"Please," I whisper, tears streaming down my face and onto the floor.

One of the men bend down to my level, a false smile plastered on his face. He tuts sympathetically as he wipes a few tears off my face.

"So innocent," he mumbles. "I'm going to have fun with you."

Dread fills my stomach.
