We walk out of the house through the back door, Lucia tells me I want to show you my favorite place where I use to go when I wanted to be by myself, as we get closer she smiles and  soon I see, it's her big oak tree, there is a swing there, I will honored to do what she asks of me, I owe her that and much and more.

We get to the swing and she sits on it,  Lucia starts telling me how, her and Franco use to come here and use to push each other, they would race, (of course she would loose) she had to push him first, but Franco loved his sister so much, he would sit her down and push her until it was dark. 

As she is telling me these stories about her and her brother, I feel like something is off, I look around but, nothing. I stop Lucia from swinging, she gives me a glare, I tell her we need to get back,  just at that moment I see something pointing towards us from a light post, there is a guy there pointing a rifle, I grab Lucia and throw her to the ground, I jump on top of her just then, I hear a shot go off, I feel a burning sensation on my hip, then another shot, now I feel the burning but very painful sensation on my back, I look at my Angel she looks scared starts screaming, I hear a third shot, Lucia screams, I look in terror thinking she got hit, but, no her scream is that I have been shot and I'm bleeding, I look at her, she sat up and is hugging me telling me to stay awake, she is screaming, the last thing I remember hearing was my baby Lucia's saying please Alonzo, don't leave me please I love you, Please open your eyes, then I'm out.

Lucia:

Alonzo was pushing me on the swing while I told him stories about my childhood with my brothers, when he suddenly stops the swing, pulls me off and pushes me to the ground, my thinking was, is he mad at me?, but then I hear a gun shot, I'm really scared, Alonzo winces, but says nothing then again another gun shot, that's when I see blood on Alonzo's back he winced but nothing, I start yelling for help, I hear another shot I screamed, I thought Alonzo had been shot again I'm freaking out. I sit up and grab Alonzo and hug him tight, I can't loose him, I have been feeling really close to him, he has been taking good care of me, Alonzo please don't die, Please don't leave me, we can start over. I look up and it's John, he is calling someone at the same time he is trying to pull me away from Alonzo, but I wont let go, I wont let them shoot him again, I hear one of the guards yell out ," we got him he was on the light post", I can hear sirens, the police and ambulance come in, I refuse to let him be taken away from me, only until my mother comes and grabs me, telling me I need to let him go, so that the ambulance can take him to the hospital, I let him go, but also request to go with him, I'm told that wont be possible they need to work on him on the way to the hospital, I run towards the house and I grab the keys don't even know to which car, my brother Dante is here he takes the keys away and tells me he will drive me over to the hospital, I was about to get in his car when Reggie yells out.

Dante you need to wait for me, I will follow, strict rules from your parents she must have a bodyguard regardless.

He tells Reggie fine, but lets go now. 

We arrive at the hospital, I ask where Alonzo Rugetti is, the receptionist says 7th floor operating room. We go directly to the elevator get in and go to the 7th floor, we arrive and I ask the receptionist if Alonzo Rugetti is there yet, she looks at me and says please wait a minute. it's been five minutes, she still not giving me an answer, Reggie comes over looks at her, she looks back up at him and with a flirty smile says, Yes how may I help you sir?, Reggie glares at her and says, you can start by telling Mrs. Rugetti where her husband is! She freezes when she hears the name Rugetti again, apologizes and says he is currently in surgery, you can wait here or there are seats by the operating room.

I rush over to the operating room and take a seat, Reggie is behind me so is Dante, not 10 minutes later my parents and Malena, as well as the Rugetti family arrive, I am crying my eyes out I have blood all over my clothes, Mr. Rugetti, asks what the hell happened? how did he get shot? Then I hear Valeria, Alonzo's mom yell out ," if it wasn't for Lucia my boy would be ok, but now because of her here he is in the hospital again",  I look at her in disbelief, I never had any problems before I married Alonzo, I didn't know what pain was until I became part of this family, I look at my mother, tears running down my face, mom tells me to calm down, she will talk to Valeria later about her accusations.1

I hear Mr. Rugetti say, it's not her fault, it's that whore Brenda! that is after him, you need to watch what you say Valeria, but she starts to yell at me saying that it's all my fault, I see Mario grab his mother and walker away from the waiting area, the O.R.(operating room) doors fly open after 2 hours 30 minutes, I see the Doctor come out and calls for Alonzo's next of kin, I step forward and say I'm his wife, he says hi I'm Doctor Salas, Alonzo had lost a lot of blood, the injury to his back, we wont find out the extent of his injury until he wakes up, the bullet we thought was lodged in his hip went clear through, but the one on his back was the issue , I'm sorry he was hit with a bullet that left fragments, we worked hard to remove them all, so until he wakes up we will see if his legs and lower body have been affected, he is asleep now, you must also know that we don't know when he will wake up, he lost a lot of blood, he will be taken to his room with the next fifteen minutes and walks away..

Mr. Jessie Rugetti:

We are sitting in the waiting room waiting for the Doctor to come and talk to us, to let us know how Alonzo is doing, I'm looking at this poor girl Lucia, it's my fault that she was put in this situation, she is crying, I don't know if it's because of what has been happening to her or Alonzo.

I ask no one in particular, what the hell happened? how did he get shot?, Just then my traitorous wife, starts yelling at poor Lucia, saying it's her fault, she is the cause of all of Alonzo's problems, only when Lucia, came to our family did all this start. the nerve of this vile woman, I was so tempted to slap this bitch, but I had to calm down, shut her up. I will deal with her and my son soon enough.

It's been two hours and thirty minutes and finally the surgeon comes out. he asks for Alonzo's next of kin, I walk towards the Doctor, before I get to him, Lucia says I'm his wife, we are all surprised by her actions again, Doctor then proceeds to tell her, your husband has lost a lot of blood, but he will make it through, he will be in ICU, you will have to wait until tomorrow to see him, no one is allowed today, Lucia refuses to leave, we are all sitting there I see an officer talking to Reggie, who arrived a few minutes ago.

I approached them, ask them if there is any news, he says ten minutes ago there was a big shoot out, two guys were shot and killed, but that vile woman got away again. I call Franco and ask him to send bodyguards to the hospital, Brenda that evil bitch got away, I ask him to run a trace on his side to check and see if anyone at his company is helping her giving her our locations.

Franco says ok will do that.

We have to leave for the night, we ask that the police leave officers to guard outside and we will place bodyguards by Alonzo's room once the he is taken to his it, we have the Doctor give the ok.

Everyone is sitting in the waiting room when the nurse comes and asks for Mrs. Rugetti, my wife is about to get up when I motion for her to sit, Lucia gets up and follows the nurse to Alonzo's room.

I watch as Lucia is refusing to leave, she is covered in blood, her face is swollen from all the crying, she looks completely heartbroken. I am only hoping that Alonzo makes it through, so he can maybe finally have the love of his life and live a happy life. Alonzo was the only one who did not have a happy childhood. Valeria was not a good mother to him.
