[Zhannie Myr's POV]

At dahil narin affected parin ako sa recent development- kung development man ang tawag, ng lovelife ko, to keep my emotions in check, I need to drown myself with more than the usual loads of paperwork para di ako masyadong ma didistract.

"Here's your Caffe Macchiato, Ms. Z" I didn't bother myself to look at her as she settled my drink on my drink coaster to my left.

"Your schedule for the day is as follows, Ma'am, meeting with Mr. Samanriego at 9 o'clock, discussion for the upcoming anniversary of Myrtle Foundation at 10:30. Ms. Hart booked an appointment to have lunch with you to discuss urgent matters regarding -"

I spoke without giving her a look, still focused on the papers I am currently reading with regards to my company's operations.

"Cancel that of Ms. Hart. Continue." I commanded

"Understood. In the afternoon, you need to be at Casa Cristalia to meet Ms. Barlowe at 1:30." I saw her sa peripheral vision ko as she put down her tab where my schedule is. "That would be all, Ms. Z"

"Thank you, you may now leave." I saw her bow a little as a gesture bago umalis kaya nilunod ko muna ang sarili ko sa dami ng papeles na kailangan ereview at pirmahan since my first meeting for the day is still an hour away.

Minutes after Sienna, my secretary, went out, I found myself turning my Vitra Grand Executive Highback Chair and looked at the early morning view of the city through my glass wall. It's the usual crowded and busy streets, nagsisitaasang mga gusali, people doing their businesses and whatnot.

This is my favorite view sa opisina ko, since it reminded me of the person that I've become. Noon, I was contented on looking at the window on my room kung saan ako naka assign na branch ng company ni Dad. I started from rock-bottom kasi ginusto ko. The urge to learn how a business works made me want to widen my perspective about it from different angles kaya I requested my dad to let me work, but he was against it. Especially when I said that I want to get employed sa ibang kumpanya. Nagalit nga siya noon, and told me he'll let me if I'll work for the company. I was hesitant at first kasi I don't want any special treatment just because I'm the daughter of a powerful tycoon and also the fact that I came from a well-respected prominent family.

After a number of bickerings, I agreed with him but on one condition. And that is, I'll work for him but no one should know who I really am. I remember my grandfather went crazy over it, but it went well naman kasi only a few people knows me, di kasi ako palalabas sa bahay noon, hindi rin ako interested sa mga events na mga pang mayaman. I'd rather study than waste my time on attending stupid events, kaya rin nagkasundo kami nung bestfriend kong naging kapatid ko kasi kami yung best in attendance sa library ng school namin.

After years of hardwork, here I am... In my own office, my own building, my own group of companies.

But my identity remains a puzzle for a lot.

It's actually an advantage for me, kasi I get to avoid those who wanted to make an enemy out of the del Fuego's. I mean, it's not that I'm playing safe, I know existing in the business world costs a whole lot of risks. It's just that, marami talagang gusto kumalaban sa empiryong tinatag ng lolo ni Dad.

Minsan nga't natatawa yung mokong kong kapatid kasi yung ibang gustong mag invest sa kumpanya ko at kung anu-ano pa, lumalapit kay dad. Kasi nga del Fuego parin naman ako and my company's using that name as well. Sa mga search engines at kung anu-ano pa, kung e sesearch ang details ng kumpanya ko, ang makikita lang nila ay 'del Fuego', not my full name. It actually works well for me kasi hindi naman ako nakikipag-compete ng yaman, I'm working just solely for the goal of improving people's lives.
