Chapter 8

19 ~~EXT. SPIDER-MAN & LIZARD-GIRL EVENT-AFTERNOON~~ 19

Peter and y/n are at the event where Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl are to receive the key to the city.

They are holding hands and looking around.

There's tons of people holding signs dedicated to Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl.

There are Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl themed balloons strewn about the place.

There are people wearing Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl costumes.

A marching band suddenly walks past Peter and y/n, playing a song.

Peter begins marching and y/n laughs at him.

Peter stops and starts laughing too.

He then holds up his camera.

PETER
How about I take your picture, huh?

Y/N
Sure.

Peter holds up the camera to his eye.

Y/N
As long as I can take yours!

Y/n lunges forward and grabs the camera.

She pulls it off of Peter's neck and holds it up to her eye.

Peter tries to grab it as y/n takes a picture of him.

Y/N
Ha! Gotcha ya!

Peter shakes his head.

Y/n looks at the picture.

Y/N
Aww, you look good. And without even trying.

Peter laughs and takes the camera from y/n.

PETER
Yeah, sure. No, but seriously can I take your picture?

Y/N
Sure.

Peter puts the strap back around his neck and holds the camera up to his eye again.

PETER
Okay. Smile.

Y/n smiles as Peter takes the picture.

PETER
One more.

Peter takes another picture of y/n.

Peter then lets go of the camera and walks over to y/n.

PETER
You look beautiful.

Y/N
How do you know, you didn't look at the pictures?

PETER
I don't need to. You are.

Y/n laughs.

Y/N
Okay, Parker.

Y/n puts her arms around Peter's neck and kisses him.

He puts his hands on her waist.

They break away after a bit and smile at each other.

PETER
Hey, so, I was thinking that I could swing in from over there.

Peter looks behind him to the left.

Y/n follows his gaze.

Y/N
Great idea. Shall we?

Y/n offers Peter her arm.

He takes it.

They leave the event and walk until they reach an alleyway.

20 ~~EXT. ALLEYWAY~~ 20

Peter and y/n are taking off their clothes.

Y/N
Did you ever think we would get this popular?

PETER
No. Never.

Y/N
It's like something out of a dream, isn't it?

PETER
Yeah.

They are now only in their costumes and are holding their masks.

Y/N
Well, let's get to it.

Peter shoots a web as y/n grabs onto him.

He jumps up and swings out of the alleyway.

He shoots webs and attaches them from building to building until they reach a build overlooking the Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl event.

21 ~~EXT. ROOFTOP OF BUILDING~~ 21

Peter and y/n land on the rooftop just as the people in the event shout out, "Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl".

PETER
They love us.

Y/N
I know. It's crazy, right?

Peter and y/n then put on their masks.

The marching band suddenly starts playing and the people at the event turn around and see Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl standing on the rooftop.

They all cheer.

Y/n grabs onto Peter and he swings down to the event.

22 ~~EXT. SPIDER-MAN & LIZARD-GIRL EVENT~~ 22

As he passes the people he slaps their hands, so does y/n.

They both say little comments as they pass the people.

Peter lands on the top of the stage architecture.

Y/n lets go of him and they both do some gymnastic moves on top of it.

Spider-Man then shoots a web and hangs upside down from it.

Y/n jumps down from the top of the architecture and lands on the stage.

Gwen is standing on the stage having just given a speech and is level with Peter's head.

People are shouting "Spider-Man!" and "Lizard-Girl!" over and over.

However, it changes to, "Kiss him!"

Y/n looks back and forth between her and Gwen.

LIZARD-GIRL
Which one?

People keep shouting, "Kiss him!"

Gwen giggles.

SPIDER-MAN
Go ahead, lay one on me.

GWEN STACY
Really?

SPIDER-MAN
Yeah, they'll love it.

GWEN STACY
Alright.

Gwen pulls Peter's mask down so his mouth isn't covered anymore.

She then kisses him.

The crowd cheers as y/n shakes her head.

Y/n pantomimes looking at a watch on her bare wrist.

She walks over to Gwen and Peter and pushes Gwen off of him.

LIZARD-GIRL
Okay, that's enough. It's my turn now.

Y/n then mashs her lips onto Peter's.

The crowd cheers even louder.

They break away after a while and y/n pulls Peter's mask back up with a smile.

He gives the crowd a thumbs-up and jumps onto the stage.

All of a sudden, a huge pile of sand flies past the event.

People start running away and screaming.

Peter and y/n look at each other.

They nod their heads.

Y/n grabs a hold of Peter.

Y/N
Well, this was nice, but duty calls!

Peter then shoots a web and swings away.
