28 ~~INT. PETER'S APARTMENT-AFTERNOON~~ 28

Peter wakes up and stretches.

He notices y/n is still laying next to him.

He smiles.

Suddenly, a phone rings out in the hallway.

He hears a door open and the phone stop ringing.

He then hears someone talking.

They stop and it goes silent.

Someone knocks on Peter's door.

MR. DITKOVITCH
Parker! Someone's on the phone for you!

Peter quickly gets up and hurriedly looks around the room.

PETER
Okay, coming!

He goes over to his nightstand and opens one of the drawers.

He grabs some clothes and puts them on.

He leaves his apartment and answers the phone.

Not too long later, y/n wakes up and stretches.

She looks over and notices that Peter is gone.

She looks around the room and sits up.

Suddenly, the door opens.

It's Peter.

He sees y/n awake.

PETER
Oh hey.

Y/N
Hey.

Peter quickly closes the door.

Y/N
What happened?

PETER
I got a phone call. They want me to go down to the police station. I just told Aunt May.

Y/N
Oh my God. Why? Are you in trouble?

PETER
I don't know. I haven't done anything wrong.

Y/N
Hmm. Well, I'm coming with you.

Y/n then gets up and walks over to Peter's nightstand.

Peter looks at y/n, but quickly looks away, flustered upon seeing her in the nude.

She starts picking through his clothes.

PETER
Oh, I wasn't going to not have you go with me. I figured you would. You're always looking out for me.

Y/n looks over at Peter and smiles.

She puts on some of his clothes.

She walks over to him.

Y/N
Of course. I love you.

Y/n kisses Peter.

He smiles.

PETER
And I love you.

He looks at her clothes.

PETER
Nice outfit by the way.

Y/n looks down at it.

Y/N
Oh, you like it? Just something I picked out.

Peter laughs.

Y/N
Say, can I borrow a pair of your shoes?

PETER
Sure, go ahead.

Y/N
Thanks.

Peter hands her a pair of his shoes and she begins putting them on.

He chuckles and shakes his head.

Once she finishes putting on the shoes, Peter opens the door.

PETER
Come on.

Y/n steps through it and Peter shuts the door behind them.

29 ~~INT. INTERROGATION ROOM~~ 29

Peter, y/n, and Aunt May are sitting in an interrogation room with Captain Stacy sitting across from them.

He sets a mugshot of Dennis Carradine, the guy who Peter and y/n went after the night of Uncle Ben's death, on the table.

CAPTAIN STACY
Originally, we thought this man, Dennis Carradine, was your husband's killer. We were wrong.

AUNT MAY
What?

They all look at Captain Stacy with an alarmed expression.

CAPTAIN STACY
Turns out, Mr. Carradine was only an accomplice. The actual killer is still at large.

PETER
What are you talking about?

CAPTAIN STACY
This is the man who killed your husband.

Captain Stacy places a mugshot photo on top of Dennis Carradine's.

The picture is of Flint Marko.

Peter and y/n's eyes go wide.

Y/N
Oh my God.

Peter grabs the photo and gets out of his chair.

He goes over to the side of the room and stares at it.

Y/n gets up and stands next to him.

She puts her hand on his arm.

CAPTAIN STACY
His name is Flint Marko. He's a small-time crook who's been in and out of prison.

PETER
You got this wrong.

Captain Stacy glances at Peter, but continues talking to Aunt May.

CAPTAIN STACY
Two days ago he escaped. Evidently, he confessed his guilt to a cellmate and we have a couple of witnesses who will corroborate the story.

The room is silent for a brief moment.

AUNT MAY
Would you put these photos away, please?

CAPTAIN STACY
I'm sorry, Mrs. Parker. I know this isn't easy, but please be patient with us. We're doing our job. We will catch him.

Y/n scoffs.

She turns around and looks at Captain Stacy.

Peter stops staring at the photo and watches y/n.

Y/N
Be patient with you? You can't even do your job. You're not going to catch him, you never do.

CAPTAIN STACY
Calm down, miss.

Y/N
Calm down?! Do not tell me to calm down. This is a serious problem that we just now heard about! Of course, you don't care because it doesn't affect you!

Y/n steps closer to Captain Stacy.

Y/N
Tell me, if this case was like your daughter falling from that building, would you have already caught him by now?

CAPTAIN STACY
That is highly inappropriate, Ms. l/n. Do not bring my daughter and her recent incident into this argument. I don't know why it even concerns you this much since this has nothing to do with you in the first place. You don't and probably shouldn't even be here.

Peter suddenly steps next to y/n and makes eye contact with Captain Stacy.

PETER
Do not talk to her like that. She has every right to be here. And what she's saying is the truth. You're not doing your job. I watched my uncle die, and we chased down the wrong man. Now you're telling me you had suspicions for two years? Witnesses? Why weren't we told about this?

CAPTAIN STACY
Settle down, son.

Y/N
Do not tell him to settle down! This is his uncle you're talking about!

Y/n points to the picture of Flint Marko in Peter's hands.

Y/N
This man killed him, and he's still out there!

The room goes silent.

Y/n then storms out.

PETER
Somebody has to catch him. And I don't care if it's not the police.

Peter throws the photo down on the table and leaves the room.
