ONE MONTH LATER...

Reika never had many regrets in life, but the way she left her brother on that mountain was slowly beginning to eat her alive.

Jaskier was one of the only few people in her life who could manage to bring a smile amongst her face at times of disparity. And because of that, Reika believed whole heartily that she loved the bard—despite them only ever kissing once... But no matter how hard she tried to convince herself to stay, she knew that she could not. It wasn't that she lost feelings for the musical man. No ; but rather herself. Choosing to remain silent about her feelings, only made her drink her worries away.

Unable to feel meant she was unable to give. He was touch starved, and that only made her feel more irritated with herself. She was depriving him of love, lust, and friendship. Instead of cheering him on as he sang his songs, she was depressingly slumped over the table thinking about Geralt. Her nightmares didn't help either; they were always about the same thing. Someone in a purple robe brutally stabbing Geralt in front of her, while being locked up in a cage...

Despite how things were left off between the two siblings, Reika still loved him. The bond was both unbreakable and unmatched. The moment Geralt held his baby sister in his arms, they were bonded. Together from start thick and thin; each other's protectors. If anything happened to Geralt, she'd never be able to forgive herself.

She couldn't dare to ask Jaskier to leave with her too  set off to find her brother. It would be unfair. He was finally living the life he desired; famously known for his tunes. Plus, Jaskier was still upset about Geralt's unkind words. In the end, it'd would've never worked out. So that's when she decided to come to her decision.

After a long night of singing, Jaskier had past out on the bed beside her. But midst packing up her belongings, she couldn't help but to glance over at the bard. Although entirely exhausted, Jaskier's had a wide smile plastered amongst his face—almost goofy; which she loved ever so deeply...

Jaskier,

I'm leaving to search for Geralt. Leaving the way I did was unfair & upsetting. Despite his foul behavior, I must see him. If something were to ever happen to him, I could not live with myself. I am not proud of my recent behavior, and for that I apologize. You deserve someone just as or greater than you. Please don't come looking for me. And please, take care of yourself.

- Reika

She hesitates while eyeing the snoring man, before finally finding the courage in placing her written letter onto the table on his bedside, before quickly sneaking out of the inn.

TWO MONTHS LATER...

Traveling alone was both rewarding and painful at the same time. The mixture of quiet and freedom to do whatever you want was almost relaxing. The most annoying part was constantly having to look over your shoulder for enemies. Sure her 'abilities' allowed her to sense a monster or whoever was lurking beneath the shadows nearby, but it didn't make it any less irritating. She also hadn't slept much since she left Jaskier at the inn, and even though she was an Witcher, the lack of sleep was slowly beginning to catch up on her.

Reika took the opportunity of bathing in a hot spring, hoping it awake her tired groggy mind. Washing off herself of weeks dirt and grim, she couldn't help but lay herself back, eyeing the slight fogginess that still could bee seen weaving through the tree line. Just as the woman closes her eyes to relax, she tenses, reopening them in an instant. The sound of two heartbeats spooked the woman. Mainly because one heartbeat was louder & faster than the other, as if was sacred, and was running away. Hesitating whether or not to investigate, the sound of a shriek was heard, sending Reika out of the comfort of her warm bath. "Just when I was enjoying myself." Reika mutters before sprinting naked through the forrest, transforming into her wolf form.

While running throughout the forrest toward the loud heartbeat, she caught notice of blonde hair form a distance, with the creepy crawly creature catching up not too far behind. Reika picks up the pace, but decides to take short cut. Knowing this part of the woods well, she knew that the damsel in distress would run out of trees soon. So Reika wanted to meet the girl at spot she was headed, long before the monster got there. While sprinting up the side of the hill, she spotted the blonde from a distance. Reika swiftly slide down the side, before running through the cave, and trying to squeeze herself through a tight space.

Finally freeing herself, she shakes herself off, before spotting the monster cornering the girl cowering against the wall. Immediately she sprints over, using the rest of her energy. Nearing the scenes, she jumps, before taking a bite from the monsters neck. Sinking her teeth into its upper body, she grabs ahold of the top of its spinal cord, and begins yanking it out. It squeals and cowers backwards as she does so, causing the blonde girls eye to widen in shock. Once the spleen from the monster was removed, Reika looks up at the frightened girl. The young girl tensed as they made eye contact, unsure if the wolf would attack her next.

"Reika?" The sound of her name causes the wolf to turn her head. The moment she spotted her brother, a sense of relief washed over her. She finally had found him. He was okay; and most importantly he was alive.
