Hailey's P.O.V.

That kiss was… amazing.

After we kissed and started breathing normally again, he helped me up and pulled me into another kiss as we struggled to stand up in a rocking boat.

Walking back up to the cabin we walked side by side, fingers linked as he rubbed his thumb against mine, while my other hand  laid on his bicep.

We kissed each other one more time before going to our rooms to shower before we made supper together.

I was currently washing up in the shower, getting the smell of fish off of me. I couldn't even explain the feelings I was having right now. I was over the moon and couldn't take the smile off of my face no matter how hard I tried.

Drake was something else. I was trying to be cautious because I had only just met this man and my feelings were definitely scaring me a little bit.

Getting out of the shower, I dried off and put on a pair of athletic shorts and a t-shirt and headed back upstairs.

"Hey, how does pizza sound tonight?" Drake asked as I walked into the kitchen.

"That's perfect."

He took a pizza out of the freezer, put it in the oven and turned back towards me.

"I made things awkward between us, didn't I?" Drake asked, walking over. He sat down next to me at the island, looking at me cautiously.

"I kissed you too, Drake. I didn't stop you because I wanted to kiss you and I liked it."

"Me too."

"I'm normally not this quiet." I let out a  small shaky breath, trying to find the right words. "I keep thinking that we both just got out of a relationship. I don't know about yours, but mine messed me up a little bit."

"We don't need to rush anything, Hailey. All I know is, I like you… a lot and I want to get to know everything there is to know about you."

I smiled, "I like you too. I'm just… scared."

"Why?"

"Because, I've only known you for four days and I haven't felt like this before with anyone… like ever. It's a very weird feeling."

"But a good feeling. I know because I feel the same way about you. I don't know what it is about you, Hailey but I like it."

He leaned in, kissing me again. God, he was a good kisser.

After supper we decided to watch a movie in his bedroom.

"I thought my room was nice." I said as I looked around his room.

He chuckled, "My parents room is even nicer. What do you want to watch?"

"I don't care? I like anything. I'm going to go to my room quickly and get a sweatshirt."

"Hold on, you can wear one of mine."

He went over to his closet. Walking back over to me, he handed me his sweatshirt.

"Thank you." I said, putting it on.

We both laid down, facing towards each other as we scooted in close. His one arm laid under his head while the other draped around my waist.

I started playing with the front of his shirt. "Tell me about your parents, what are they like?"

He smiled, "They're wonderful. They met in college and instantly fell in love. Dad took over the shop for my Grandpa when he was twenty-one. My mom worked there some when they got together but she was going to school to become a teacher. She's now the superintendent at the high school in Detroit."
