Kacchan's an asshole who doesn't deserve me and I own him nothing.

Izuku felt like he was at the top of a cliff, standing so close from the edge that even just a breeze could making him fall. Looking down, he saw the huge waves tempting him, as they hit the cliff, they begged him to come with them, that life would be so much easier in the deep ocean, after all, who would miss him? Just let go, free yourself. Everyone will be alright. You need it.

Behind him where faceless figures, at the front row, most were journalists. Evil-laughing journalists, with their desperation to make the biggest numbers of views, and what a better way to make views than talk about the recent death of the most influential mastermind of the underworld?

The police had finally shared the informations about the Brainstorm case... and his death, making a press conference so that every curious journalist could listen to them. The entire conference hadn't been shared to the public, so Izuku hadn't been able to hear the full point of view of the police, maybe they had something interesting to say — that he could use against them. So he had tried to find interesting articles, however most of them were poorly written and only made to invite people to click. A few exceptions could be found though, so Izuku had read them all, pulling an all-nighter to do so. They all had said various similar things, that Izuku had already heard from what his friends had been able to told him (he still didn't know much though). However, what surprised him the most was the way they all had quoted the Detective Tsukaushi to talk about how Brainstorm died:

"It happened quickly. We couldn't let him go, he knew too much, so we couldn't take that risk. Everyone tried to catch him but, before we could do anything, he got hit. We were unable to save him."

Not even a mention of Native's name. Izuku felt like trowing up. Around five in the morning, he had received at text from Hai:

From 'Nikko' to 'Me':
> Hi Buddy. Sorry if I'm waking you up but the cops finally talked about Dad's death...
> It's kinda weird to hear everyone cheer that they're gone, you know?
> At least those fuckers respected his pronouns...

From 'Me' to 'Nikko':
> Yah, I see what you mean...
> They only used he/him though...

From 'Nikko' to 'Me':
> Yeah but Dad usually pretended to be a cis man (it avoided transphobia and having to explain for hours how you can use they/them for someone)
> It's still better than nothing so I'm not gonna complain about this.

They had talked for a while after that, Izuku had mostly let Hai express what they felt, they needed it. Then, around 6, Izuku had received a text from Toga:

From 'Ami' to 'Me':
> Hiiiiii! (‐^▽^‐)
> I'm supposed to meet with Hai today, and I'm sure you know about what the police said yesterday so...
> Anyways, I'll tell you if there's anything that happen. <|:-) (see? it has a little hat!)

Toga and Izuku had both agreed that they would share if they saw anything suspicious or concerning about Hai. They wanted to help him, was it the best way? Maybe not, yet they kept going.

From 'Me' to 'Ami':
> Yeah I saw... Just a bunch of dicks...
> Thanks, I hope he'll be okay though.

Izuku was now in class, the second period had just ended. As usual, he had tried to take all of his stuff, ignoring the red spider lilies, to quickly escape the room , however Katsuki had managed to catch him in the corridors, where everyone could see — watch — them.
