chapter 25- at peace

Recap-
Nandini gets kidnapped. Manik gets to know neyonika and harshad's true colours and pari's real identity.
He goes to save nandini and together both of then fight harshad and neyonika.
However, at the end, nandini gets shot right above her heart while saving manik.
She slips into coma but manik manages her to wake up. He has a breakdown and nandini just holds him.

"Well what he said was true. I had no single clue how to kiss so following his lead, I started kissing him and we continued to kiss until we were out of breath.

We then joined our foreheads and said at the same time "I love you. Forever and humesha"

It has been a few days since nannu has woken up. My men have been taking turns in having their time with neyonika and harshad.

Mom and dad both are perfectly fine now. Mom just needed the feeling of being loved and after dad showed her our family photos, she's okay now.

"Mannu bachha" I was broken out of my thoughts by mom calling me.

I went up to her and laid my head on her lap and said "yes Maa? You need anything?"

I could sense the huge smile forming on her lips and she said "no beta. I am perfectly fine. Actually when I went upstairs nandu asked me to tell you that she wanted to meet you."

On hearing nannu's name, I immediately got up and made my way towards our room, I saw nannu in the balcony.

I quietly went behind her and hugged her from behind. She, sensing it was me, immediately kept her hand on mine.

I kissed her shoulder and said "what happened princess? Why are you standing here.

She turned around and said "mani I want us to torture harshad and neyonika."

I know I asked to much from him. But what can I do? It's kind of my personal vendetta against them.

Because of them, me and mani had to go through this much. Because of them, raj papa and piya Maa had to go through this much.

I hate them. But I know it's hard for mani. He has been with neyonika almost all his life.

Seeing his face, which was predictable, out of nervousness, I started rambling "I know it's hard for you. But I can't help it. Because of them we all had to go through so much. I am so sorry if it hurt your feelings bu-"

I was brought out of thoughts with mani roughly pinning me to the nearest wall and kissing the living day out of me.

When I realized what was going on, I immediately put my arms around his neck and while playing with his hair, I started kissing him back.

When we vote went breathless, he pulled away and joined our foreheads.

After our breathing was back to normal he said "I can listen to your voice for hours babe. But rambling is kinda not my thing you know."

I lightly hit him on his shoulder and said "mani I am serious yaar. You know I ramble when I am nervous. I thought you won't do it."

His eyes went a little darker and he said seriously "it's not your fault that that bitch manipulated and brain washed me. I would gladly torture her and her so called husband."

I smirked sadisticaly and said "Then let's go mani. We shouldn't keep our guest waiting now should we?"

He chuckled darkly and said "oh no we shouldnt. That would be a sin wouldn't it?"

And with that, we made our way to the basement where our lovely guests were already being taken care of by our men. (Note the sarcasm)

As soon as we entered the basement, neyonika turned her head towards us and when she saw our entangled hands, you could practically see smoke coming out of her ears.

But then she smirked as if saying "wait and watch" and turned towards mani and said "mannu! Mera baccha! (My child!) See what they have done to your neyo Maa and her friend. See what that gold digger bitch pari did. Come free us mannu. And we'll throw this bitch pari out of this house. We'll sell her to my friend here."

That was all it took for mani to burst out and started punching and kicking neyonika.

Harshad tried to act smart by throwing a knife which was nearby towards manik but mani being the perfect mafia boss dodged it. And that was all it took for me to lash out at harshad.

And let's just say they didn't really have a peaceful death.

Later that night, after having dinner, dad took mom out on a romantic date. And us, under the blanket of moonlight, became one.

That night, after so many years, I slept at peace. In my mani's arms. Where I rightfully belonged.
