Spider-Man: no way home

I run into MJ's work,  envelope in my hand.

"Gwen!"

I smile as I run behind her counter next to her.

"You got it?"

MJ nods as she points to it sitting in front of her.

I smile nodding.

"Where is Ned and Peter?"

"Not here yet"

"You good?"

"I think so.. just..."

"Jones I pay you to work not chit chat"

MJ sighs as her boss walks round the front, glaring at me.

"Hey sir! Long time no see"

I salute him, with a grin on my face.

"And you! I don't pay you at all."

I raise my hands as I walk backwards going back around the counter.

He gives me a fierce stare before turning to MJ.

"Do your job"

"Yes—Yes sir. On it"

MJ's boss leaves and I roll my eyes.

"I honestly am waiting for the day you don't take his shit anymore"

"Yeah well I need the money so..."

"Guys"

We turn to see Ned walking in with his envelope.

"Here you guys sit over there and I will get you a donut and coffee in case... you know"

I nod as I pull Ned by his backpack  to take a seat.

We take a seat on a couple of the stools in front of the counter.

"Here"

MJ gives us our donuts and a coffee.

"This a double?"

MJ chuckles shaking her head at me.

"Peter should have gotten his by now?"

Ned turns to me as MJ goes back over to the front.

"He better hurry up or I am opening this without him"

Ned gives me a look.

"Okay, but he does need to hurry up this anticipation is killing me"

The door then goes and we turn to see Peter running in.

"He's here"

Ned turns to me as I motion to the front where Peter and MJ are silently conversing.

The pair make their way over to Ned and I.

MJ stays behind the counter as Peter takes the end of the counter.

"Okay. (Release puff of air) Ready?"

"Jones I told you to take down the Halloween decorations."

MJ turns around to her boss who comes back out.

How Kathy can this guy just piss off.

"Actually that was Sasha so..."

"Enough attitude. Just do it"

"On it"

"I swear if you would let me work here he would not hassle you like that"

"I appreciate that Gwen but some things are best left as they are"
