In the first couple days of the holidays I began talking with Mat again, I knew it was because of Maddie.

I then later received a message from Mat saying he needed to talk and that he felt bad for what he did...

I sent my reply, the conversation went on for an hour till around 2 am when Mat decided he was tired. I hadn't heard from him for another 6 weeks until school started again.
