Voice: Sahi kaha tumne...

All the attentions shifted to the owner of this voice. It was Anurag standing with hands clenched and rage filled eyes.

Neil looked at him shocked.

Anurag: avni ki is halaat ka zimmedaar Tu hi hai...

Ashish and neela looked at shocked.

Anurag: jis din se meri behan ki shadi tujhse huyi hai na... Us din se usne ek chain ki saans nahi li hai... Musibaton ka pahad toot pada hai uske sir pe.. Kabhi koi to kabhi koi ek ke baad ek problem se guzar rahi hai woh...

Prerna: Anurag.. Bas karo kya kar rahe ho?

Anurag: main kya kar raha hoon? Wahi jo mujhe bohut pehle kar dena chahiye tha. Is insaan ki wajah se meri behan humesha khtre mein aati hai... Main ab avni ko iske saath nahi rehne de sakta... Samjha Tu Neil Khanna?

Neil stood there with shock filled eyes.

'Avni jitni aapki hai us se kayi gunah zyada meri hai' were the words running in his head but they could not make it to his lips.

Soon they heard the door of operation theatre opening.

Dressed in green gown a doctor stepped out and looked at Neil.

Neil: doc...

Anurag: avni kaisi hai? Woh theek hai na? Use kuch hoga to nahi na woh...

Neil looked at Anurag standing next to him.

Doctor: Mr. Khanna aap please himmat rakhna... She's critical. Hum successful honge yaa nahi... Kuch keh nahi sakte... We'll try our best.

These were mere words for the doctor but felt like thunderbolts on Neil. He could not even think to imagine whatever doctor was trying to say.

Saying these words doctor went inside and continued his surgey. Neil and the rest of the family stood there in shock.

The very next moment Neil was taken aback by a sudden pull at his collar. It was Anurag.

Anurag: agar meri behan ko kuch bhi hua na to Neil khanna mind one thing... Tumhara koi kanoon mujhe rok nahi payega... Zinda nahi chodunga tumhe main.. I swear.

Ashish and prakash held Anurag trying to seperate him from Neil. But Anurag was not ready to listen anything. Neil stood there lifeless. The words of doctor was ringing in his head continuously.

Neil: avni...

Neela pulled Anurag from Neil. He looked at her in shock. The next moment Anurag felt a sharp pain on his left cheek. Neela slapped him.

Neela: bas karo Anurag bhagwaan ke liye... Avni jitni tumhaari hai usse kayi gunah zyada Neil Ki hai... Neil ki biwi hai woh aur tum ho ke... Samjho Anurag is waqt humein avni ki salamati ki duaayein karni chahiye naaki ek dusre se jhagda.

She was panting heavily trying to adjust her irregular breathings because of continuous crying.

Neela: prerna Anurag ko le ke jao yaha se...

Neela had considered Neil as her son too. She cannot stand Anurag blaming him for mishap with avni.

Prerna held Anurag's hand and walked him out. By now the the dark night had already changed into a bright morning.

Making her sit on the bench prerna was about to turn to fetch a bottle of water when Anurag held her hand and pulled her back. He immediately wrapped his arms around her waist and began crying.

Anurag: agar avni ko kuch ho gya to main jee nahi paunga priyu... Mar jaunga.... Riya ko kho chuka hoo agar avni ko...

Prerna caressed his hair lightly. She knew her husband was deeply attached with his little sisters. He can not bear any harm to them.
