"I'm calling the police, Endeavor!"

And that was the last thing Shoto heard before his father shut the door behind him, a loud bang echoing through the halls.

—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As he was being pulled away from the safety of his teacher's flat, Shoto was full on panicking.

He could feel his breathing pick up as he tried desperately to get it under control. Tripping and stumbling, added to, well, literally being incapable of breathing properly, Shoto failed miserably at keeping up with his father's rapid pace.

Endeavor on the other hand, quite frankly did not give a shit, continuing to pull his son with him.

Aizawa was fuming. He stood in the entrance of his home, doing nothing, for a few seconds, before whipping out his phone and immediately calling the police, along with a handful of Pro Heroes.

"I need you at Endeavor's place. Now."

Fuyumi watched from the kitchen window as her little brother was tugged out of their father's car, nearly falling flat on his face.

Moments later, the front door slammed open. Both she and Natsuo, having rushed home after they found out Endeavor was going to Shoto's teacher's place, turned to see Shoto and Enji enter the house.

Endeavor didn't even bother looking at them, Shoto simply kept his eyes on the ground.

The two trudged to the Training Room and yet another door was being slammed shut.

It didn't take long for the screams to start.

Fuyumi couldn't take it anymore, running over to the room that had caused her baby brother so much pain, she started furiously banging her fists against the door, hoping, begging, praying for it to open so that she could get in and help Shoto (she just wasn't sure how she'd be able to help him, even if she could get in).

Shoto was in pain. He couldn't see, he couldn't breathe, he couldn't focus on anything. Hopelessly, he fell to the ground, the cold wooden floor feeling way more comforting than it actually should.

Mere seconds later, he was picked up again, only to receive a fist in his face.

He didn't, he couldn't register the front door once again slamming open, and it seemed like Endeavor also didn't, still blinded by his fury.

His eyes felt heavy.

Natsuo and Fuyumi's heads turned to the front door at lightning speed, watching as half a dozen Pro Heroes looked around the house before spotting the two of them. There, in all their glory stood Erasure Head, Hawks, Present Mic, Death Arms, Midnight and Mirko, accompanied with a handful of police officers.

"Where's Shoto?"

Fuyumi could cry. "He- He's in he-here! But the door's lock-ed..."

Before Endeavor knew it, he was interrupted by pink-ish, purple-y mist entering the room and the door being bust open.

Immediately, he dropped his son onto the floor again. Not long after, he felt himself tumble to the ground as well, his head hitting the ground hard.

Fuyumi wasted no time rushing over to Shoto's limp form.

Her vision was blurred by her tears as she began shaking his shoulders. Finally, finally they could be free. Finally her brother wouldn't have to face the abuse he had for years now.

Then it hit her.

Shoto wasn't breathing.

It didn't take long for the ambulance to arrive. The medics rushed into the room with a stretcher and brought Shoto into the vehicle as fast as they could.

None of them were allowed to ride in the ambulance with Shoto. Some of the Pro Heroes accompanied the police officers and an unconscious Endeavor to the police station, while Aizawa, Present Mic and Hawks stayed back with Fuyumi and Natsuo, to take them to the hospital so that they could wait for Shoto to h̶o̶p̶e̶f̶u̶l̶l̶y̶ wake up.

They had been waiting in the hospital's waiting room for over three and a half hours, no information about Shoto's condition having been provided to them yet. All they knew was that something was going on, based on the commotion going on in the room and all the people running in and out the door.

Luckily though, a doctor and a nurse exited the room only fifteen minutes later.

All of their faces fell as they saw the doctor's grim expression.

"I'm sorry..."
