A tear rolled down your cheek, as you ran through a spruce forest.

I've done it again. Betrayed a friend.

You quickly wiped it off and took a deep breath, eyeing on a dark building ahead of you, rays from the evening sun glistering between the spruce's pins.

It's for his good.

When you came closer, you immediately noticed a tall person, who was before hid in the Prison's long shadow.

"Ranboo!" You shouted on the hybrid, who's been anxiously standing in front of the Prison, and even though your mask muffled a good portion of your words, the enderman still turned in the way of your voice.

You waved at him to come closer to the forest's edge. Sam was still looking for you, and standing out in the open didn't seem like the best idea. When he obeyed, the second thing was to take his necklace.

"I need you to take this off." You pointed at the clock hanging from his neck. Your cold tone made him flinch back, alarming you that he's been through a lot and there's no need to be harsh at him.

Ranboo's pointy ears dropped. "I- can't do it myself. When I try..." He brought his hands close to the trinket. At one point, they stopped moving and floated in one place, like a invisible barrier was preventing them from progressing further. A resignated look spilled across his face.

"I'm not sure if you're able to- get it off too."

You reached for his necklace, but found the odd barrier too.

Ranboo's eyes wandered on the stomped grass below, his fingers driving through the black and white fluff on his tail. "Should I- Should I go? I'm dangerous for you... If I teleport everywhere-"

"No. There's another way." You pulled out your axe and slowly brought it to Ranboo's neck. The enderman froze and stared in horror at the weapon, speechless gasp coming from his opened mouth.

With a great concetration, your axe slid under the trinket.

Your gaze darted on his face, attention aiming mainly on his eyes. There it was - small streaks of purple particles, twirling and dancing, appeared on his front, and quickly spread across his view like a plague.

Axe's downard motion abruptly ripped his clock off, sending it flying to the ground. His eyes immediately changed to their normal, almost welcoming green and red hues.

Only when you your axe dropped down, he finally let a breath out. "Thank you..."

You weren't sure if he was talking about his trinket, or the fact that you didn't slice his throat in half. Either way, you were greatful too.

"So- what was the thing you wanted to talk about?" Ranboo seemed at ease and bent down to pick up his clock. He let his thumb slowly slide on the cracked glass and eyed back at you.

We've spend too much time here already. This needs to be quick.

"I can't tell you much, but I have a plan to get you out of this- sleepwalk stuff, okay? The biggest problem is- I need you to trust me and let me control you. If I want to stop this, I have to know about all of it." Your voice softened, as you felt his horrified eyes gaze over your front.

"I-" He was torn apart."I- Why should I trust you?"

You pressed your lips into a narrow link. "Because I'm your only option."

That was true. If he wanted to stop this, he needed to let you in.

"I-" Ranboo was cornered, and his only escape was- through you.
