I wake up and look over to my side to see that Bucky has already gotten up, I get up slowly and head into the bathroom to get myself ready, that's when I hear noises coming from downstairs, I grab one of the daggers that Mr Stark gave me and run downstairs to see the kitchen a complete mess and Bucky standing in the middle covered in flour and what looks like some kind of batter "what the hell happened?" Venom and I ask in unison, Bucky look down at the dagger I'm holding up and laughs "I was trying to make breakfast" he replies and I join him in a fit of laughter "Jesus Christ, I thought you were being attacked" I say finally lowering the dagger "you came to protect me?" Bucky asks "well, you are my partner I'm not sure it would be a good idea to lose you to the kitchen" I say with another laugh "leave breakfast to me" I say handing Bucky the dagger and taking the bowl from his hands "what were you even trying to make?" I ask
"Pancakes" Bucky replies "right, well you need a little more milk. How did it explode in your face?" I ask "I put it in the blender" Bucky replies with a shrug "you don't have to use a blender for this you just mix it, did you use a lid?" I ask "you need a lid?" He asks and I just laugh "he's an idiot, we're going to die in this mission because our partner is a fool" Venom complains "well V at least we have you" I say smiling, I fix Bucky's pancakes and i help him clean up the mess he made of our kitchen before finally sitting down on the dinner table "how did you sleep?" Bucky asks "good, that bed is super comfortable and you?" I ask "yeah me too" Bucky replies a little flustered "why are you flustered?" I ask "I'm not" Bucky replies "it's just, sometimes I have a hard time sleeping and last night I kind of didn't" Bucky adds and I smile
"Well I am very glad Barnes" I say reaching over and resting my hand over his "I think I'm going for a swim" I say with a smile once we finish our breakfast "you thought to bring a bikini?" He asks "no" I reply smiling "you got the dishes yes?" I ask and he nod, I kiss his cheek and walk outside to the pool. It's a little early but the sun is already warm against my skin, I strip down to my bra and underwear before diving into the pool. I swim around for a while just enjoying everything "I like this house" Venom says "I know, this pool sure adds onto it too" I say "yes, I think it is quite satisfying" Venom replies and I smile "Hey" Bucky says joining me "hey" I reply as he sits on the side of the pool with his legs in the water "you like water?" He asks and I nod "always did, well when I was a child I did" I reply, i glance backwards and lean up "what are you doing?" Bucky whispers "somebody is watching us" I whisper, Bucky lowers himself into the pool and pulls me into him before kissing me
He pulls away with a small smile "the water is freezing" Bucky says and I chuckle "it's not so bad" I say "guess not" Bucky replies "I really like your hair" I say brushing it away from his face "you ever think about cutting it?" I ask "sometimes, it can get in the way when I'm fighting" Bucky says "You can just tie up the top a little bit, like um backwards and it should help with that" I say gently showing him with my hands "guess that's a good idea" Bucky says and I nod "is that what you do?" Bucky asks "yeah, my hair is too long and it gives enemies the upper hand if they grab ahold of it. It's why Hydra never cut it, but I've grown to love it like this" I say "do we really have to go to that dinner party?" Bucky asks I nod "we have a story to sell, the newly wed couple Joey and Grace Cambridge" I say "what do we do?" Bucky asks "Both Lawyers but took a break to get a head start on our family, we are currently trying to have a kid" I say "How do you already have all of this figured out?" Bucky asks
"Well we are going to need a cover up story for everything we do, why aren't we going to work, What made us move here, when did we get married, how long have we known each other. It's all about specifics with these rich people" I say "plus Angela is nosey she's going to try get everything out of us" I continue "you got that from a handshake?" Bucky asks "I got that from her showing up outside our home at 9:30 at night when we arrived and her bragging about her husband. Meaning she's a stay at home wife living off what her husband makes, she lives for the neighbourhood gossip and just waiting for something that she can spread about the new neighbours" I say "you're good" Bucky says and I smile "yes I am" I say proudly, Bucky laughs and shakes his head
"What will you wear?" I ask "I have no clue" Bucky says with a laugh "something long sleeve I'm guessing" I say stroking his metal arm, he notices and instantly stiffens up before backing away "don't do that" Bucky says while getting out of the pool, I frown and follow him inside "what was that?" Venom asks "I don't know" I reply still confused "Bucky" I call his name, he is now in the kitchen pouring himself a drink "Bucky" I repeat, he looks at me but says nothing as he brings his cup to his lips "why are you acting so weird?" I say walking closer to him "why do you have to ask so many damn questions?" He snaps and I blink a few times surprised by his sudden outburst "did he just yell at you?" Venom growls "who the hell are you yelling at?" I snap back "back off" Bucky says darkly and I take a step closer "no" I say
"Why are you acting like a dipshit?" I ask "back off" Bucky repeats "not until you tell me why your mood changes every damn freaking second Bucky, is this because I took sex out of this weird friendship thing?" I ask and Bucky throws his cup past my head onto the wall behind me "You shouldn't have done that" I say shaking my head, Venom takes over my body and pins Bucky against the wall "who do you think you are soldier?" Venom growls "think you can hurt her with no consequences?" Venom asks licking the side of Bucky's face, Bucky looks up but he isn't scared he seems somewhat amused by Venoms protection but guilt can be seen all over his eyes "I got it from here" I whisper "are you sure?" Venom asks "yes" I reply, Venom goes back inside of me and I instantly slap Bucky across the face "don't take my kindness for a weakness Bucky, I am the only thing standing between your life and your death right now. So I suggest you stop treating me like an idiot" I say and Bucky nods quietly
