I've grown as an artist in the past two years, and I thought I should start a new sketchbook to honour that. if any of you read my book, the drawings here may be the reason why updates haven't arrived XD
HERE WE ARE ah this has been a battle Mostly because school kept me busy last semester and this semester will be no different, probably worse, but I'm crazy enough to try and do more stuff >:)
I just finished these yesterday/today and I really hope you like them! I know I do, LeafWings are just so much fun with their little cell scales!

Unlike the other times, I remember which plants I based these on!!! Leaf-Mud (cattail) and Leaf-Sand (a cactus, specifically Echinocactus Grusonii)

Leaf-Sky (red calla lily) and Leaf-Sea (a water lily, with added purple from the SeaWing father). The stripe on the purple scales is to show how shiny they are.

Leaf-Rain (Bromeliad Anthizcantha) and Leaf-Ice (snowdrop flower)

Leaf-Night (black calla lily, the ref picture had this beautiful red shine to them which I added), and Leaf-Silk (butterfly pea... trust me it's not a pea, it's a flower XD)

And Finally Leaf-Hive (some orange flower that I can't find the name of but it looks mostly like a pansy) and LeafWing (Sarracenia but without the pink)

And... that's it Well not really I wanted to do THIS from the start: combine them all together!

Seeing them all together is so cool... that's been 100 different designs! Some better than others, haha And because I'm insane I want to try this with my fantribes. I won't do the other tribes again because I've already done some here; rather I'll do it with the fantribes as dominant hybrids plus a row of their recessive hybrids.
Now I have a bunch of concept art I could post. I don't think I'll do it today but soon, once I can get some more of it polished... look out for some new dragons ;)
