So
This week will be horrible for sculpting
Wanna know why?
BECAUSE IT'S SO CLOUDY NOOOOOOO
I'm at the smoothing stage and I can't smooth outside because I can't SEE and that means I have to do it inside where I almost gave myself a headache yesterday trying to do the exact same thing
So, if today is such a horrible day, I might attempt to write again (say what?). Yeah. I had an idea to try to write 3 pages a day (so far, haven't written any) and we'll see if I can focus enough to do it today.
Today's pictures will have fairly huge skips of time between them because they are collected from the entire week and you're quite familiar with the process now (plus, less picture captions gives me more time to work). Enjoy!
1) Like a fossil emerging from the sediment, we start with the basics. Underneath our little squiggly friend you can see the sketches for the finished product.
2) Guidelines created and the parts just have to be attached now.
3) Apologies for the format, but the frame for the log is created! I plan on making clay from egg cartons and I will be putting them on this frame. It should be thick enough that it won't fall through the grid. I hope I have enough cartons, because if not, I am committed enough to dumpster dive.... hmm, maybe I'll do that today?

RandomI've grown as an artist in the past two years, and I thought I should start a new sketchbook to honour that. if any of you read my book, the drawings here may be the reason why updates haven't arrived XD
