Recovering

Six Months Later

Draco hooked a strand of my blonde hair behind my ear. I blushed and kissed him. A man cleared his throat behind us. We stood at attention and turned to face our boss, Jake. He was an older man with grey hair and tired eyes, with an expression that said he didn't want to be there. I coughed and said,

"Uh, yes sir, sorry sir. How can we help you?"

"That case I assigned you two a few months ago-"

"I thought I turned in my final report. Sorry Sir I'll double check and-" He held up a hand, cutting me off.

"That's not what I wanted to say. He escaped Transport to Azkaban. He had multiple priors, and was sentenced to life in Azkaban, but during his transport. He managed to escape-" He kept talking and I heard Draco's voice beside me, but I couldn't make out the words as my vision blurred, my ears rang, and I swayed on my feet. i just barely heard Draco say, 
"Thank you sir." and the faint sound of Jake's footsteps as he walked away.

"Arya, are you alright?" I didn't answer him, I felt nauseous, like I was gonna puke. Draco moved to stand in front of me. 

"Arya?" I hadn't had an episode in weeks, and this wasn't one either, this was different. I tried to speak, but I couldn't, I felt myself fall, and the world went dark.

I Woke up in a familiar bed, it was Draco's. I tried to sit up, but instantly grew light-headed and lay back down. I managed to get my vocal cords to work and called,

"Draco?" I heard his footsteps as he ran into the room.

"Arya! Thank God, you're okay." He kissed me and I kissed him back.

"Yeah, I guess so, but uh- what exactly happened?"

"You- you don't remember?"

"No... why? What happened?" He looked away, and wouldn't respond. "Draco..."

"At work earlier, you- you-" He stammered over his words and still hadn't looked at me

"Dammit Draco! What happened?" He finally met my gaze and I saw sadness, worry, and something else I didn't recognize. I grabbed his hand and sighed. "Look, I'm sorry. But seriously... what happened?"

"Arya... It's Sage." Suddenly I had a flashback to what had happened, and felt tears stream down my cheeks.

"You remember." It wasn't a question, and I nodded. I sat up, ignoring the nausea.

"We have to catch him."

"Arya, you passed out at the last mention of him, you had ptsd episodes for weeks, there's no way I'm going to let you go after-"

"Draco it's not really your decision to make! I've told you before that after what he did to me I want to be the one to bring him down, now he's made it worse and I'm ready to kill him! You need to let me do this."

"Arya I can't." I sat up straighter.

"Why not? Can you tell me that? Why?"

"Because I love you Arya! From the moment I met you, I knew that you were the one I wanted to live the rest of my life with. I love you Arya Hawthorne." He reached into the drawer of the nightstand next to the bed and pulled out a small velvet box. i was suddenly speechless as he got down on one knee and said,

"Arya Hawthorne, you are the most amazing girl I've ever met. No matter what you do, you make me smile, you make me laugh, you make me smile, you make me the happiest I've been in a long time. And the only thing that would make me happier is if you would honor me with the privilege of being your husband." He opened the box to reveal a diamond ring. I quickly dried the tears from my eyes and nodded.

"Yes! Yes! Oh my god yes!" He slipped the ring on my finger and i pulled him up to his feet, got up to my knees and kissed him. "Draco, I love you. You are amazing, and kind and I have no idea what everyone was talking about. You are perfect and I can't wait to marry you." I kissed him again, and after a few seconds, I heard small footfalls enter the room and Scorpius' little voice ask,

"Are you gonna be my new Mommy?" I looked at Draco Uncertainly and he walked over to Scorpius.

"Scorpius, nobody could ever replace your Mother." He looked back at me and smiled. 

"But Arya makes me so happy, so you can call her whatever you want, she's going to be part of this family." Scorpius ran forward and hugged me.

"I'm glad you're gonna be my new Mama."

"I'm happy to be part of this family."I said, hugging him. I looked at Draco lovingly. And mouthed,

"I love you." He joined into the group hug and whispered into my ear.

"I love you."
