The act

The walk to the Griffith was quiet, both Peggy and Lorna keeping to them selfs while thinking what was gonna happen when they got there. Once they did Peggy turned to the teen "Let me do the talking, Miss Fry can be difficult-" "What makes you think she'll even let me stay," said Lorna cutting Peggy off earning a raised eyebrow from the burnet "I'm sure I can figure something out" Peggy took a deep breath and put an arm around Lorna to which she reacted by flinching and Peggy noticed how the girls breath hitched, Lorna wasn't a fan of being touched, that was obvious she didn't trust anyone enough, especially this woman she just met, sure she has done some nice things for her but Lorna wasn't stupid all good things come with a price, Peggy turned to her and tried to apologize "It's fine- lets just do this please," the teen said in a hurried manner, "Right lets do this,". 

Peggy who still had her arm around Lorna led her to the front desk to where a woman was sitting who Lorna could identify as Miss Fry, "A Miss Carter- and who is this?," Peggy put on a smile "This is Lorna Miss fry, she's distant family. She just went through something very hard and I was wondering.. if she could stay here for a while" Peggy finished with a sad look on her face while pressing Lorna to her side, it made Lorna a bit uncomfortable to be held but she saw this as a mission, she could do it, Miss Fry looked at Peggy and then back at the teen " Well MissCarter, I am sorry for whatever you went through child but this is a very prestigious institution i cant just let anyone in if i did that i would have to let everyone in and that would not be good" Lorna could feel Peggy was getting tense, the older woman didn't show it of course but she could feel it, Lorna could also feel that Miss fry was in fact a difficult woman, she briefly considered going into her head using her powers (which could end really badly) OR use the training she was given "I comprehend Miss Fry," She said in a perfect American accent and  in her most formal voice but made sure her voice broke at the end a bit, Peggy was a bit confused at what she heard and snuck a look at Lorna kind of to ask her "what the bloody hell was she doing", but before Peggy could speak Lorna spoke up once more "It's just ,*sniff*, after my parents died  and I lost my home I didn't know what was going to happen to me," the teen let the first tear drop and the realization dawned on Peggy of what Lorna was doing and suppressed a small smirk as she took in a breath and went along with what the teen said by putting on a solem face her self and pressing Lorna closer to her, " I mean they passed away and I had no idea if someone was going to  take me in *a few more tears fell and she let out a soft sob*, I'm sorry," Miss Fry handed her a handkerchief and Lorna could feel she almost had her "When I found out Peggy was going to take me in for a while I was so relieved , I don't know what else I would have done, I could have ended up dead alone, or worse... I would just really appreciate if i could stay near my family for a bit, just a reminder... of my parents," By this point Lorna was crying hard and Peggy was rubbing her arm in a calming motion their little performance looked dam real, people were staring a the few that heard the conversation were looking at Miss Fry waiting for her to say yes, Lorna gave Miss Fry her best puppy eyes and pressed into Peggys' side; no matter how uncomfortable it made or it was supposed to make her it was a mission, she kept reminding herself; so she did her best to look vulnerable and surprise surprise it worked, "sometimes old tricks work best" Lorna thought, "Oh very well, you can stay , and I am truly sorry about your family, but there are some rules you should know that Im sure Miss Carter will share with you," Said Miss fry looking flustered  "Thank you Miss i promise I won't be any trouble," said the teen in a small voice ,"Yes thank you Miss Fry and of course I'll tell her," said Peggy in a solem tone  " We'll be going now, it's been a long day," Miss fry nodded "Of course,", Peggy led Lorna to the near by stairwell while still putting on their act while some girls gave them apologetic looks, they rounded the corner to the stairwell which was a more private spot, as soon as they were out of sight Lorna straightened up and wiped the tears and in seconds she  looked like nothing happened, Peggy turned to the girl, she had to admit that was impressive and effective, even she would have bought it, but then she started thinking what exactly did that girl use those abilities for in the past, what they made her use them for, "That was smart, good move, very believable" she said in a quite voice while she led the way to her room, making sure no one would hear, Lorna shrugged Peggys' arm from her shoulders and put her hands in her pockets "yeah well I'm a quick thinker, and it's kind of a basic so," Peggy hummed as a response and continued leading the way to her and now Lornas room, she kept and eye on the girl, her face was unreadable, no teenagers face should be that emotionless especially someone going through such a big change, "what happened to you" Peggy thought. Lorna hated it, the colors, the style and how loud Peggys thoughts were, "what happened to you,"  "To much," she thought to herself, it's not like she tried reading her thoughts, it was an accident, it happened often peoples thoughts always very loud, she hated that to, she hated a lot of things she was in New York far away from Russia she could try and run she would probably end up dead anyways but at least she could have a some time of freedom but this, this looked like a flower-y wallpaper prison the deeper they went through the halls the more she wanted to knock Peggy out and run "this is such bullshit, i shouldn't be here"  she thought, but before she could do anything Peggy turned to her "this is it, room 3E" she put in the key and opened the door. 

Peggy waited until Lorna, very slowly, walked in and shut the door which Lorna sharply turned her head and Peggy stop dead in her tracks "Not a fan of loud noises, noted" Peggy though to her self, Lorna turned back around and stared at the room a bit while the older of the two put her stuff on the counter and the bag from the automat in the fridge. Lorna noticed how the room was a bit toned down from the rest of the building, not as bright, she also noticed the lack of what seemed like personal items, except for a jewelry box and  some makeup on the vanity along with a small framed picture of a skinny boy who Lorna immediately recognized as captain America before the serum "so thats the world finest super hero huh, i could break him" she thought to her self while slowly walking around the room, taking it in "i wonder where she keeps her weapons around here"  "Hope you like it, you'll be staying for a while so, you'll be sleeping over here on the couch the bathroom is over here, I have some paper work to do if you get hungry take anything from the fridge," she led Lorna to another area of the room that had a couch and a small coffee table she simply nodded and sat down "Thanks," she said in a quiet voice hoping Peggy didn't catch it "It could be worse".
