↬Personality: Avery is very reserved and quiet, even around his closest friends and his family. After many years of being told that everything he talked about was annoying and people didn't want to hear about it, he stopped talking about things he was passionate about. Unless you can somehow get him to open up about the things he likes and is passionate about, he won't start that conversation. Even if you are talking with your other friends about something you love and he happens to love, he still won't say anything. Even when his past "friends" were talking about something they all liked and he joined the conversation, they would look at him and tell him that they were not interested in what he had to say and that he was annoying and rude for butting into their conversation even if they started the conversation and other people joined in later. Because of this, he also thinks he is one of the most annoying people in the world. Another reason he doesn't talk much, even to his friends. If somehow you get him to be more open about his passions and the stuff he likes, he will be a completely different person. He will randomly text or call you just to talk about something new or even to revisit an old topic you talked about before. He will also be more open about his own life and talk about just random things. If you can get him to open up, he does a 180 from the quiet and shyish boy to a complete ball of hyper sunshine. He is also extremely scared of rejection, specifically when it comes to relationships. He even refuses to simply answer the question "do you like someone?" Because if he answers the question, he feels that his friends will hype him up to the point that his anxiety is almost nonexistent and then he will go confess his feelings to the person... the worst part of this fear is that the person will straight up reject them and do something that will turn people against him. he has been straight up told, "why would I like someone as disgusting as you?" before and that is one of the major reasons he refuses to even say he likes someone. ↬Background: He had a normal childhood until he was about 11, when he was in middle school, he started to get told that what he liked was gross and no one else liked it. and that no one wanted to talk to him about it. he started to withdraw from people and just do things by himself, refusing to work with others. ↬Mental disabilities or illnesses: Depression & Anxiety
