"Ah" A yelp escaped on Ara as she felt a sudden jolt of pain on her abdomen. 'Maybe it wouldn't hurt if I skip one class.'She changes her direction towards the girl's bathroom, using the wall to keep her standing. As soon as Ara opened the door, the smell of cigarettes hit her, causing her to cough.
'Who would smoke here? Smoking is forbidden in Hyosan.'
"Aish, hurry up and close the g*d*mn door!" She fumbled on the doorknob and hurriedly slammed it. She was like a deer caught in red light when she turned around. It's a girl in their P.E. uniform under her skirt.
Ara bows her head and proceeds to enter one of the stalls. She didn't know who the girl was, but she knew she might be part of the seniors.
"D*mn it!" Ara jump at the cursing girl outside. She can hear her footsteps approaching her stall, freezing her in the spot.
"Thud!" Ara stepped back and stared wide-eyed at the door. "Yah! Don't you snitch on me, you punk!" She could hear the girl shout as it bounced on the walls. 'I just wanted to check why my abdomen hurts. And when did I even snitch someone? And if I did, no one will listen to me anyway.'
Ara, deciding that she would take a glance at what was hurting underneath her hoodie, lifted it. She almost choked on what she saw, a trail of blood running down to her abdomen as a gash represented in her skin. She recalls all the events for her to have such an injury. 'Ah yes, that metal pipe hit me here, and Mr. Lee put me in a ward for the check-up and stated that I need the stitches. I think the large pebble that Myeong-Hwan throws at me caused this; now that I remember, it did. The stitches reopened.'
Ara let out a shaky breath, dropping her hoodie back. This is the least of her problem, what will happen in the future is. Another wave of pain washed over her, and she stuck in a grunt. The knocking on the door didn't help her situation; it only gave her a headache. She opened the door slowly and saw the girl from earlier.
"I can't believe you! I've been calling you for a while, and you didn't even open the door, don't-" She then frowned at Ara's state. "You okay? Want me to walk you to the nurse's office?"
"괜찮아요." [I'm fine]
Ara look at her and bows, walking towards the door before pausing. "I will not-, n-never s-nitch you."
She can hear the girl take a deep breath. "That's good to hear; I'm Park Mi-Jin."
Ara only nods, not wanting to be inside the suffocating bathroom anymore.
Right now, she needs an answer. She walked back to the lab but only to see Mr. Lee with their English teacher and Kang Jin-Gu's commotion.
She brisk walks into the storage room, holding the wall as her support, and that's when Mr. Lee notices her.
"Ara!" He was about to rush over her when Jin-Gu held him in his place. Miss Sun-Hwa looked at Ara and bit her lip, conflicted on the situation.
"Let go of me!"
"No! Haven't you seen what you did to that poor kid?! Tying her up!"
Ara finally decided to speak. "Miss Sun-hwa, S-sir Jin-Gu. Wh-what are you d-doing?"
Mr. Lee stops his struggles and looks at Ara while the two teachers look at each other. Jin-Gu decided to confront her first. "Ahaha, you see, Mr. Lee here did a terrible thing. It would be best if you got out of the-" Mr. Lee cut him off.
"No! Ara, I need you to take my things away and put them on your house." There's something more than his eyes are pertaining to as Ara studied his facial expressions.
