A chandelier lit up the entire room, he took me to one of the most famous restaurants here in our city and at first I didn't want to go, but I just couldn't afford to say no to Nycho specially now that he's making a lot of effort to persuade me and we're friends, that's how I'd currently label our relationship. This is just a friendly date.

He held my hand as we both walked towards his table set-up, the staff of the restaurant all gathered there to serve us. It seems like he did put a lot of effort on this, it made my heart swell with joy to see him invest so much effort in me. I tightened my grip on his hand as we approached the table.

I had no other plans for the entire day, so after hanging out in the park with Nycho and giving him a tour, he did take me to dinner and I didn't expect it would be this grand. The background music reminds me of the good old days, there was a long table in front of us, with different varieties of food.

Nycho guided me towards the table and pulled the chair for me, as I sat down he called one of the staff to request for the music to be louder. After that, we waited for the wine to be served and then we both started enjoying a meal silently. When we finished with the food, dessert was served.

Honestly, I couldn't even eat more of it. I couldn't finish the entire platter of it since I was already so full from all of the things they served me. When I was done, we both stared at each other for a while before he hands me his right hand, and when I took it, he helped me up as we started dancing.

"Are you familiar with the music?" He asked me and I nodded. "The lyrics... it's what I'm trying to tell you, when I met you... a lot of things have changed and a lot of things have woken me up. No other words could help me explain how much you brought into my life, but when I met you... I started to appreciate the little things more."

I looked at him and flashed him a smile, as he said all of those I felt his sincerity and how he's so true with his words. Both of my hands are placed on his shoulders, while his hands are placed on my waist. I felt the pressure on keeping a straight posture. The music was getting louder. "And why is that?"

"You're so different... there's something about you so mesmerizing. I can't even explain it, Gaia. You're peculiar." He says and I laughed, thinking how I view him peculiar as well. "I'm so thankful I met you, I wouldn't have learned a lot."

I tried my best to stifle a smile, he was making my heart flutter every second and in those seconds, my heart kept beating... getting faster and faster every time I stare into his eyes, every time I look at his bright smile. There was this connection again, this time it was unbearable.

Every time I'm with him, I always feel this connection, as if we're tied together and we're meant to meet. I couldn't explain it clearly, but I knew it has something to do with the way I feel every time we look at each other, the way I feel every time our skin brushed on each other and the way I feel every time I hear his voice. It was too dreamy.

Our trip to Siargao was all about enjoying and to help us unwind after the most stressful and busy days before the Sapient University fundraiser event even happened. We deserved it, I was so excited on having that trip because for me, it meant that I finally have the time to let loose and just have fun.

To not worry about keeping everyone satisfied with what I do, and to not worry about failing the people that looked up to me. To not meet their standards, to not push myself to stay in where they placed me for at least a week. That weeklong vacation plucked the thorns off me, it gave me enough space to breathe.
