Nycho held my hand to stop me from walking away, I nodded and gave him a smile as I sat back down to accompany him. I placed my hand on his back, trying to make him feel my comforts, I know he has gone through a lot tonight and the least I could do is not leave him at his lowest. He needs me, and I'll be there for him.

He rested his head on my shoulder and we both looked at the surrounding, my heart couldn't stop beating fast and I didn't know what to do. All I knew, and all that's certain, is that I know I'll stay beside him for as long as he would need someone by his side. I'll remain with him, even if the time would come that he wouldn't need me anymore.

After a few minutes of sitting there, letting the tension cool off, he excused himself to the restroom and for him to change into his pajamas. I was left alone in the living room, sitting on the couch, letting time pass by and letting hours come and go. Till their housemaid approached me while she was sweeping the floor. She looked like a really nice old lady.

"Ma'am, do you need anything?" She asks while looking at me, I smiled at her and shook my head. She looked very stressed out and bewildered, I stood up so I could talk to her. "Do you want coffee? I can make you one..."

"No... It's okay! I'm good..." I said, she gave me a small smile and continued sweeping the floor. She kept looking up, I think she's wondering about the entire commotion that happened earlier. I still couldn't believe it though... "What happened earlier was really shocking, right?"

"Yes, it really was shocking Ma'am." She said and slowly placed the broom down and sat on the stool in front of me. "You know... that was the first time we ever saw Vern act like that, he was always so kind and sweet towards his mom... He never held any grudges even if Ma'am Miel left him when he was still young."

"Really?" I asked, she nodded.

"I've been working here ever since Vern was born, I took care of him when Ma'am Miel left... Sir Alvern was always in his office so I was the one who raised him." She said and I smiled while listening to her story. "I was like his mother... maybe because I never had any children. He's a great kid, we only separated when he moved to Siargao after he graduated high school to take care of their hotel."

We talked for a few minutes, she told me everything she knew about Nycho's childhood— How he was, his friends, his school. Everything. When I checked my the time on my phone, I was shocked when I saw that is was already 12:25 a.m. It was very late and Nycho's still in his room, I think he fell asleep.

After their housemaid finished cleaning in the kitchen, she walked towards me again while holding a key. I looked at her for a while and then she handed it to me, even if I didn't know why, I still grabbed it from her hand. "Ma'am Miel says you should stay in the guest room, it's getting late."

I nodded and followed her upstairs, I already had the key so when she left me in front of the door, I immediately opened it. My eyes widened as the sight of the room welcomed me, it was beautiful, the interior was spectacular. It felt like I was staying in their hotel, the guest room looks exactly like the rooms in Siargao.

When I sat on the bed to finally relax, my phone started ringing and when I checked to see who was calling me... my jaw almost dropped. It's my Mom, I can't tell her that I'm at the Jimenez Mansion, she's going to explode in anger. I turned my phone off as I started panting.

She kept calling me and texting me but I didn't respond to any of those, I'll have to face her tomorrow... but I won't let her know where I am right now, it's for the better, I have to prevent her from causing any trouble. The commotion earlier was enough for tonight.
