A New Found Hope

After the aftermath of everything
that fate hurled at me.
Makes me consider a wee
little mouse, a great little nemesis.

For the first time in these two years
I found a ray of hope in myself.
My joy has no bounds that it
explodes like a firecracker every moment.

I don't care about the lads who speak
behind me or who try to fake right in front of me
After all, they never knew what I had been through
these dark days, trying to find solace for my withered soul.

I thank the people who
gave me a second chance
they were the ones who gave
credence in for all the hard work.

In short, my newfound hope
has sparked the optimism
Just like burgeons at the dawn
of early spring waiting to blossom.
