The Beginning Of The End

You: wh-what is this?

You were in a village, a very old and small one where your eyes landed on a boy running towards his family near a well. You turned to see what he was running from and saw men in strange armor riding on horses towards their village. From there you watched as the boys family was murdered and his village burned to the ground, he managed to survive and protect his younger sister but were unfortunately taken in as slaves

Boy: just keep your head down and do your best not to cause any trouble, if anything happens I'll protect you, okay Ymir?

You: [Ymir? The Founder!? This person must be her elder brother, these are his memories!]

You watched them go about their slave life as discreetly as possible, Ymir's brother did his best to do all the heavy lifting so his sister could take it easy, always taking care of her before taking care of himself.

King Fritz: one of you let a pig escape. If nobody fesses up, every one of you will loses an eye. Slaves have no need for two

All the slaves were gathered before King Fritz. Ymir and her brother were separated at the time so he was looking for her amongst the crowd

You: [all of this for a pig?]

Your eyes widened as everyone began pointing at Ymir

King Fritz: you're the one who let it escape?

She was pushed out of the crowd and kneeling before him

Boy: No! Leave her alone!

Her brother tried running out the crowd but they held him back

Boy: It wasn't her, it was me! I let it escape!

Ymir turned to look at her brother before turning back around and bowing

King Fritz: very well. You are "free"

Time Skip

Ymir was running for her life in the forest while being hunted by soldiers who tied her brother up and dragged him along in the dirt

Boy: Don't stop Ymir! Keep running! Run far away from here!

The ropes were tearing from being dragged against the dirt so he tried biting on them to break them faster

Boy: Stop! Stop it! Leave her alone!

He gasped when Ymir fell down a small hill after being shot in the leg

Boy: Ymir!

He broke free from the ropes and quickly ran down the hill. The soldiers turned their aim to him and shot him in the shoulder. Stumbling down the small hill, he quickly found Ymir and scooped her up in his arms and continued running

Boy: I'm so sorry Ymir! It should have been me!

He ran until he found a large tree with a hole in it, he slowly crept up to it and peeked inside to see the wide, dark inside of the tree. A bit hesitant to go in, he backed up and turned around at the sound of the horses closing in. He held his sister tighter and ran into the tree which seemed to get bigger the longer he ran. After staying there for some time wandering around, he slid and fell down a hole

Boy: Ymir!

Trying to protect his sister he hit the back of his head, you couldn't tell if he was alive or dead

You: this must be where it started and ended for them

The familiar light of a titan transformation shot up into the sky and knocked down the entire tree, making room for Ymir to rise up
