You: *mumbling* my mouth keeps bleeding

You gasped when you noticed blood dripping onto your knee, making you hurriedly cover it with your coat, catching Mikasa's attention

Time Skip

After a long winter, and getting rid of every titan inside wall Maria, it was safe enough for refugees to return to their home and start rebuilding again

You were helping rebuild your house when Armin stepped in

Armin: it's smaller then I remember

You: because we got bigger...

You looked at where your bed used to be and smield

You: did you know...a man decided to take three kids into his care, so they wouldn't be split up and...and their going to live here t-together?

You were shaking down to your core as you stared down at the floor

Armin:...

He stood behind you and wrapped his arms around your shoulders while resting his head onto of yours

You: what happened? We used to be the same height...now-

Armin: shh...

He gently rubbed the top of your head and began rocking back and forth

Armin: we couldn't stay children forever Y/n, if we did, no one would take me marrying you seriously

You: we're still not officially even engaged you know

Armin: I know, just give me some time okay?

He gently kissed the top of your head before kissing your cheek and whispering in your ear

Armin: I'll make you my wife, I promise

He released you just as you were about to say something and headed for the door

You: Armin?

Armin: what is it?

You looked at him in the eyes with a blank face before smiling

You: I love you

Armin: I love you too

You: forever?

When he excited the room, a tear rolled
down your cheek as blood stared spilling out of your mouth

Time Skip

After repairing Wall Maria, the scouts were ready for exploring past the walls again

Levi: it's just like you thought, Hange, the titans inside Wall Maria were pretty much all of them, we thinned it the majority in just a single year

You kept moving forward until a red flare was popped

When you got close to the flare Sasha stopped and pointed towards it

You got off your horse and walked up to the titan, rubbing it's forehead with your hand, Eren doing the same beside you

Eren: it was shipped off to paradise, it's a fellow patriot

You bumped your forehead against it before returning to your horse and riding off until you were riding on sand

You: this is the place where...Eldians were made into Titans

Eren: and... beyond that...

You rode up a hill until you saw it

You:...the ocean

You had taken your boots off and rolled up your pants legs before you stepped out into the water and fell to your knees as you stared out past the horizon

Armin: Y/n, look!

He kneeled down next to you and presented a seashell

Armin: it's beautiful, isn't it?

You looked at his eyes and gasped as a tear dripped down

You: the ocean...

You put your hands on his cheeks and stared into Armin's eyes

You: I thought the ocean looked familiar...*smiles* it looks just like Armin's eyes

The waves crashed into you as you let go of his face and smiled at Mikasa who was walking over to you

You: the ocean feels so nice, come feel, it's nice and cool

You grabbed her boot and yanked her down into the water making her squeak and surprise and cling onto your back

Armin: look!

He stood up and looked towards Eren who was staring at the horizon

Armin: I told you Eren! A salt lake so big that merchants could spend their whole lives and still not get all the salt! The stuff I talked about wasn't wrong after all!

Eren: yeah...

You and Mikasa both dragged yourselves up and stood next to Armin

Eren: is so damn big...

Armin: look, Eren! On the other side of the wall

Eren: there's a sea... on the other side of the sea... is freedom, that's what I always believed... but I was wrong, on the other side of the sea... are enemies, every part of this is exactly how I saw in my dad's memories

You stared blankly at him as he pointed out past the horizon

Eren: hey...if we kill all our enemies...over there...will we finally...be free?
