Epilogue

'Finally, you've given me a reason to be strong . And we'll stand hand in hand, till the end...'

"Burst finish! From the score two to three, Red-," The referee saw Shu whisper to him to say his actual name, the referee smiled and nodded his head, "Shu Kurenai wins!" Shu then fell backwards out of fatigue and blacked out. Though it may not seemed like it to some people, Shu endured an intense battle in a literal, emotional and psychological way. It took a lot out of him, he hopes that Valt is back and that the identity of Blue Eye is dead.

Suddenly, while in the state of unconsciousness, he heard a distant voice calling out for him. Repeating his name over, and over, and over...

"Shu, wake up please!"

Huh...is that...Valt calling out to him?

Shu opens his eyes and indeed, a familiar face pops into view. That blue hair that is much longer now, those brown eyes, that milky, smooth looking skin. Shu stares at the man in surprise, not knowing what to say.

'As my body's shaking, the future is out there waiting. For me to grasp the light, that's trembling just like my hand. I gotta keep it safe from fading. That's all that I want...'

Suddenly, his eyes become shiny as it quickly fills with tears. Shu grabbed ahold of Valt's shoulders and pulled him down on top of him, hugging him close. "Valt...you scared me. This...whole time I was scared. Even during my match with you..." Shu quietly sobbed out, burying his face in the crook of his love's next. Valt slowly circled his arms around Shu's neck, hugging him back. "I'm sorry, Shu. I-I was a total jerk, and I let my lust for power get the best of me..." He admitted. The two can hear the 'oohs' and 'aww' from the crowd as they looked on at the scene. Soon, confetti of all shades of red started falling down as fireworks were shot into the now, open sky. Shields were raised up to protect people from it.

Valt separated himself from Shu and got up, holding out a hand, "Come on partner, you're a champion now. The people want to see you." He then gave Shu his trademark smile, that smile the other blader misses so much. Shu took his hand and stood up, watching as people got excited and started to loudly cheer and shout congratulations to him. Shu Kurenai could only smile brightly and bow in thanks to everyone. Someone then came out with the trophy and handed it him, congratulating him themselves.

He looks at Valt, who was softly smiling as he waved at his family, mouthing to them that he is okay. "Shu...do you think I can redeem myself and that the people I hurt...are willing to forgive or at least, consider it?" Valt whispered to him.

'Despite the past mistakes, we can't erase a future that we can't escape. As long as I can always keep you safe, I've gotta be strong. So to your name, I'll fight through the pain...'

Shu nodded his head, "It will be hard because you hurt a lot of people Valt. The way you did it was brutal as well, not like you at all. You just have to know that there will be those who will be understanding and forgive you. But there are also those who will forever consider you as an enemy and someone to fear or stay away from. Maybe even both in some cases. Actions have major consequences, Valt. Especially yours." Valt frowned but nodded his head in understanding. That's totally fair, he was a scary blader when he was Blue Eye.

The two soon left the stadium and went outside, where more fireworks went off. Shining brightly in many shades of red and blue. Valt's eyes sparkled in amazement, Shu noticed it and smiled as well. Finally seeing the light slowly coming back to the other blader.
