We return to view the exterior of the Dinorod base, and then back inside for Narvara and Jasper to monitor the screen. The four other pods remain orbiting around the Earth. The descending one closes towards the Earth.
Jasper:
We've got a course for the first one.
Narvara:
Right. I'll alert Spectrum. Where is its exact arrival destination zone?
Jasper:
Central Egypt. Impact to arrival now imminent. Boy, it sure is hot out there.
We are now back in Egypt with Saleb and Salib. The pod flies in the sky, plummeting down to a vicinity near theirs. The camera views the pod looking up towards the sun, and the tiny meteor approaching their area.
Salib:
Soon, now. So soon!
We hear the pod shooting in the sky and about to land near them.
Saleb:
Get down. Quick!
The men jump down into the sand, covering their heads. Captain Black remains vigilant from the distance. We see the pod rocketing down in the sky. CRASH! BAM! KABOOM! Sand explodes in the air. The two brothers then look with awe and fascination up to where the pod arrived, perhaps a minute in walking distance away from them. Smoke pours up from the crashed pod.
Salib:
Come, brother Saleb. We have much to do to resurrect the great, almighty Sarlah.
Saleb:
Yes. But proceed with caution, brother Salib.
Captain Black keeps watching from the rocks. He holds a rifle in his hands, preparing an aim for the two men. The sun continues to beam down its intense ray from high in the sky. Salib and Saleb reach to the pod, creating a small pit in the ground as a result of impact and sand blown out of the way.
Salib:
Great god Sarlah of the seven sands and destroyer of sins, we your faithful servants beseech you!
The sun's brightness expands even further. Salib begins feeling unwell. Sunstroke was affecting him. Sweat rains from him. His eyes slowly close. Salib finally gives in to the heat and falls into the sand.
Saleb:
Brother Saleb!
He begins to attend to his brother, realising he's dying of dehydration. Captain Black aims, about to pull the trigger!
The curse has been unleashed upon us! I knew this was a bad idea. I'll get help.
BAM! Saleb screams. With the bullet in his back, he then collapses to the ground in time to join his brother. Captain Black watches the Mysteron rings creepily slide from the head of Saleb, down his bloody back and then fades away. A shadow suddenly appears as a result of a new arrival. We are then revealed to the Mysteronised Saleb, carrying the pod in his hands beside the small pit. Captain Black looks at the Mysteron agent, who stares down at the pit. The two bodies are thrown into the pit by the unearthly powers of the Mysterons, with the dead Salib with his front facing us viewing at the top.
Saleb:
Rest in peace dear brother.
The Mysterons use their powers again with the spade digging up some sand and throwing it into the pit. The corpses have the sand thrown on them – they are being buried alive! Saleb watches, as we hear the burial of the corpses. The camera zooms towards the pod, with a shiver of foreboding doom...
DUM DUN DUM DUN DUM DUN DUM...
