(Y/n Pov)
We arrived at me and Maddys house and we walked in. I went to my room, not wanting to deal with Nate. I can't believe that he would want me to not be friends with Ashtray and Fez. He let's Maddy talk to them. I changed into more comfortable clothes and laid on my bed.
I grabbed my phone and unlocked it, checking my notifications. I had a text from Rue.
(Rue's messages are bold)
Rue:
Hey
Are you doing anything tonight?
I thought of a reply and started to type.
Me:
No
Why?
Rue:
There's a party tonight. And I was wondering if you
wanted to go.
Me:
Idk.
Let me check with Maddy
Rue:
You need her permission to go?
I thought that shit was for parents.
I rolled my eyes as I finished reading her text.
Me:
No, I don't need her permission.
I just want to see if she's gonna go or if she knows
about it.
Rue:
Oh okay
Make it quick though
I didn't want to go to Maddy's room since Nate was still here. Cause god knows what they're doing. So instead of going to her room, I decided to text her.
(Maddy is bold)
Me:
Are you going to the party tonight?
After a few minutes of waiting Maddy finally texted me back.
Maddy:
Yeah. I'm gonna go with Nate.
Why?
Me:
Just wanted to know.
Rue asked if I was gonna go.
Maddy:
OMG!
Won't this be like your first party?
She was right. During middle school the only thing I did that was close to parties were sleepovers.
Me:
Yeah
Maddy:
You should totally wear something of mine!
Me:
I don't think that's a good idea
Maddy:
I promise it won't be really revealing.
I know how you about those type of clothes.
I liked revealing clothes, I just didn't like how they looked on me, and Maddy knew that. She's even trying to help by letting me wear clothes like hers in public. I thought for a bit about what she said and decided that I might as well just wear something of hers.
Me:
Sure
Maddy:
Yay!
I'll help you get ready around 4:30 since the party's at 6.
Me:
Okay
What's the party even for?
Maddy:
It's Mckay's party.
He says it's for the end of the summer.
