Chapter Eleven: Let The Games Begin

Lottie's Point of View

It was early morning on the day of the first of the Triwizard Tournament tasks. Still, it remained secret of what was going to happen. At least, I think it was secret. I wriggled myself over in bed and stared at the ceiling, eyelids slowly fluttering shut again, "Hooooooooo! Hooooooo!"

"What... What the?" I heard Alex beginning to mumble,

"It'll just be an owl." I told her, "Go back to sleep." And within a few seconds, she had. With Alex's 'heavy breathing it's not snoring' now echoing around the dorm, I wasn't going back to sleep very quickly. So I just settled down, hoping sleep would--

"QUACK!"

"That is not normal!" I thought, but verbally and very loudly. Alex grunted as she rolled over and fell out of her bed. She got up, and shuffled over to the window. She looked out of it to the left, to the right, then opened it and made a clicking noise with her tongue, "What on earth are you do--"

"This is Barney." She said cooly as a small, extremely fluffy barn owl hopped through the window hole and perched itself upon the ledge. He hooted again, before rubbing against Alex's wrist. She smiled, untying the letters from around his tiny leg, before cooing over him,

"That's the most touching thing I have ever seen." I said, sarcastically but with a smile, "The fierce demon surround by flames has a heart after all."

"I'm touched." Alex said, wiping a fake tear from her eye, "But look at him, how can you say no?" She then allowed Barney to hop onto her hand, and she brought him over to me. His eyes were a deep chocolate brown, matching someone elses I knew, and I instantly melted. That and the fact the owl seemed to make his eyes bigger, and more sweeter as he approach me. Barney invited himself to sit on my shoulder, and once he did there was a loud squawk and Alex's hand shot up just in time to catch,

"Errol!" She scolded, as the owl flew in at some speed and caught onto Alex's arm to stop himself, "You are going to hurt yourself now will you please stop being a show off!" Errol coward away from Alex, before sticking his leg out a little. Alex untied the letter from around him, before letting him sit back on the window. She then began to look through the amount of assorted letters and post we had received, throwing mine on the floor near her bed and hers onto her bed. I looked on in disbelief, before tutting and setting Barney next to Errol on the window pane. He gently nipped my finger as I let him go, and I stroked his and Errol's beak gently, before walking back across the room,

"Did you feel it was totally necessary to do that?" I said, picking up two envelopes from the floor and sitting on Alex's bed, where she had about twenty,

"Oh no, not really." She said casually, like it was nothing to her. I rolled my eyes in disbelief, before going to open the first envelope,

"You do that a lot don't you? Roll your eyes?" Alex commented, and I stared at her,

"You do that a lot don't you? Breath?" I replied back, maybe sharper than it was meant to be. Alex looked at me weird, and I shook my head, "What?"

"That was sharp." She said,

"I am sharp." I said back,

"I am Colette!" She shouted, and stood up on the bed, "I'm sixteen years old, my dad's a werewolf and I love George Weasley!" She laughed, before jumping up and down on the bed,
