Chapter Seven: All In A Day At Hogwarts

Lottie's Point Of View

Waking up at Hogwarts again was brilliant. How a place has become another home for me has amazed me and I loved it. I rolled over in my four-poster to face Alex across the room. She was half hanging off the bed again and her mouth was in the same state, half hanging open. I laughed lightly, shutting my eyes slowly and stretching out fully. I then jumped up out of bed and grabbed my shirt and skirt from my trunk, skipping my way to the bathroom. Everything was still the same in there too, and I quickly showered, got dressed, dried my hair and brushed my teeth. On the way back to the dorms, I met Hermione and was tying my hair up in a pony tail as we spoke, having a brief conversation about the tournament before she said a quick bye and rushed downstairs. I entered the dorms and expected to find Alex in the exact same state, except she wasn't. She was dancing around the room in her jumper and trousers, looking more alive than ever. I stood in the doorway stunned. She stopped when she saw me, laughed and asked if I was shocked to see her up, to which I replied with a blank and quiet, "Yes."

"I knew it!" She laughed, "And guess what else?"

"You're leaving your hair blue?"

"Hell Yeah!" She laughed, "Well come on then!" She said and grabbed my hand, giving me just the time to grab my grey school jumper with the house colours threading before she was dragging me down the stairs as I wiggled into my final piece of clothing. She was laughing and let my hand go once we'd reached the bottom of the stairs and were in the common room. She also left me struggling half in my jumper, half not in my jumper,

"You alright there Lottie?" I heard Fred asked as I pulled the jumper over my head. I gave him a sarcastic face at him to which he laughed and jumped out of the portrait hole, closely followed by a laughing Alex,

"Morning dearest." George said as he appeared at my side,

"Good morning kind sir." I replied and grinned up at him,

"Would madam like escorting to breakfast?" George laughed and held out his arm,

"I do think she would." I said and grabbed his arm, George leading the way down to the hall. There was murmurs everywhere you turned, just like yesterday. No one else noticed them, but I did. The derange look here and the nervous glance there, they all added up and it had began to upset me already. And we haven't even got the timetables yet. Fred, George and Alex won't tell me why either and its really annoying me.

"Lottie, I can hear them too. Just ignore them." George said softly as we walked into the hall. I gave him a nervous look as we walked up between the Ravenclaw and the Gryffindor tables. It was an incredibly awkward walk and I slowly detached my arm from George's as we walked. He sighed and his arm fell down beside him which also made me sigh. And why'd you let go?

"'Cause you're a dickhead." Alex said as I fell down next to her,

"How did you even know what I was thinking?" I asked as George sat next to me. She tapped her nose and shook her head,

"Best friends know everything." She whispered as Harry threw our timetables to us from across the table where McGonagall had left them,

"Boring, boring, boring, boring, food." Fred said and threw his timetable aside and grabbing some toast. George hadn't even picked up his timetable before he was stuffing his face whereas me and Alex were furiously comparing them,

"Transfiguration?" I asked her,

"Tuesday, Wednesday. Charms?"

"Friday double. Potions?"
