Chapter Eight: Going With The Flowing

Lottie's Point Of View

"I don't see why we have to do this."

"You don't seem to understand anything."

"It hardly seems fair. Everyone knows me and George want to run a joke shop."

"Everyone knows what Alex wants to be too. Just tell her that and then piss off again."

"And leave you and Al? Pfft. No way."

"There you go then." I said to Fred, clicking my tongue and continuing to track to McGonagall's office for this talk about careers or something. Don't ask, I'm not too sure either. We just kept walking and I kept an open mind to what was going to happen,

"OI! LUPIN!" I heard Alex yell behind me. I stopped and turned around to face them as did Fred. How slow do they move? Really? "Can you read minds?" She asked me,

"Erm ... no."

"There we are. I told you!" Alex said, looking up at George and giving him a look which told him he was an idiot. Fred and I continued to stare at her like she was completely strange ... which she was, "It's alright, you can turn around now." Alex told us and we did slowly, shrugging at each other and then continuing to walk forwards,

"What were they talking about?" I asked and Fred shurgged,

"Ca sera sera." Fred said as we arrived at Transfiguartion, "What are they talking about?" Fred asked and seemed agitated,

"Me probably." I shrugged and Fred looked down at me with slight shock, "Don't even begin to think about acting Cupid this year Weasley."

"What would ever possess you to think that Lottie?" Fred asked and gave me an innocent look,

"Because I know you. And I know Alex. Too well in fact. I am not --"

"That's what you think!" Fred said and gave me an evil smirk whilst raising his eyebrows,

"Bu--"

"It's ok, we're back!" Alex shouted in my ear and I groaned loudly,

"Sharp shooting pain!" I whined and Alex laughed,

"Man up." She said, knocking on the door and then throwing it open anyway. Fred followed Alex, I followed Fred and George followed me through the classroom to McGonagall's office at the back of the room. Alex again knocked and threw open the door without waiting for any kind of reply or welcome. McGonagall looked slightly taken back when the four of us walked in, the twins and I stood awkwardly as Alex made herself at home in one of the two chairs McGonagall had out,

"B-B-But Miss Lupin and Miss Tonks were meant to--"

"No we weren't." Alex answered quickly. McGonagall gave her a look which told her she'd done wrong and Alex merely raised her eyebrows, ignoring the fact she was technically being told off and the twins weren't meant to be there. McGonagall shrugged it off and then pointed to the other chair,

"You'll either share or sit on the floor." She said, glancing at Alex out of her eye corner. Alex wiggled her eyebrows and brushed it off. Fred and George then immediatly began to fight for the chair. I shrugged it off and knelt down on the floor next to Alex's seat. It wasn't worth the hassle. I noted her laugh as George won the tussle and Fred fell down beside me, folding his arms and sticking his bottom lip in a sulky way,
